Great place to stay! The Rambler is a little gem. The price is great and so is the staff. The rooms are always clean, I’ve stayed here about four times. Definitely try the Rambler Coffee shop - delicious avocado toast and the best lattes!

Served its purpose as expected No bed bugs. Impressive for Chula Vista! Everything was very used. The mattresses were very comfortable. The trains made the sleeping conditions very noisy. The people working there were nice but were either high on something or "special."

Fun place! Room design is fun and hip. The lobby is amazing for adults and kids. Suspended chairs and arcade games, a vintage Kiss pinball game, and a big discount on good food and coffee for guests! Smores kits available that you can cook at the pool. The family loves the stay!

Great Motel at a Great Value If you don't mind being out of downtown San Diego, this motel is a great value. I've stayed here with and without a car. The blue line is just a short walk away and we took it into town. You do go thru some rough parts of town on the trolley but we felt safe the whole time. Parking is free. The rooms are comfy and clean. During my last stay the coffee shop wasn't open during the hours posted. 7am Not sure why. It seemed like maybe they are having a hard time getting consistent help? The front desk said 8am open but still nobody there at 9. Not a deal breaker but it just added to the morning trying to get coffee before heading out.

Not too shabby… Super easy check in. Room was a little stuffy and the a/c unit could use a filter change but overall not too bad. Free coffee is definitely needed in the rooms or at least a free cup at the Cafe with your stay as a thank you for choosing the establishment.
