Price was good, had some fantastic features, but needs improvement I stayed here a couple of years ago, I had a really good stay, so I stayed here with my family two nights over Labor Day 2024 weekend. This hotel has some really nice features, but also has room for improvement. The on-line rating was good, the price was inexpensive, and my stay from a few years ago were the reasons I booked. First the good. The free breakfast was as good as anywhere I have had at a motel. I ate there two mornings, ate a bunch of different foods each morning, and still didn't get to try everything. Service was outstanding. The bathroom in the room was recently refurbished and was top notch. The controls for the shower were push button and water temperature was electronically controlled. It was amazing. The room was reasonably sized, and air conditioning unit was very quiet. Now for the needs improvement. The TV only picked up a few stations, and they were sketchy at best. For the most part, the TV was unwatchable. The game room was an addition off the pool, but the game room was 80+ degrees, and half the games we tried didn't work. The ice machine on our floor didn't act like it was plugged in. The drinks we had in our refrigerator froze, and the refrigerator had an annoying rattle when its compressor was running. Will I ever stay here again, maybe, but I'll try some other places first.

Please continue to update this hotel! LOCATION…LOCATION…LOCATION! Safe area of Clayton and easily accessible to the highways and to WashU. Although I felt relatively safe the hotel gives off a “haunted hotel” vibe. We stayed in an ADA room and there was no shower curtain. The Moen shower was nice but without a curtain the floor of the bathroom quickly got wet. The AC unit is very loud. The bed was comfy but with the loud AC shutting on and off I woke up several times through the night. The price is great for a clean room in an older hotel that has seen better days. Getting your parking ticket validated every time you leave the garage was inconvenient. On the weekends you can park in front of the hotel at the meters that are free.

Family stay - adequate for wknd St. Louis roadtrip We stayed in a 2 room king suite on the 6 floor for 2 nights Fri and Sat night. GOOD: Bathroom was updated and had a digital shower control panel. It also had a tub and shower. So 2 people could shower at the same time. Helpful for multiple children getting to bed. The bed was comfortable. The king bed was clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast was included and everyone found something they liked to eat. Parking was easy. Get a ticket then bring it to the front to validate. It was free both weekend nights. Not sure if there is a fee weekdays. Parking lot was pretty empty except for hotel guests that were concentrated by the skybridge. Fridge has a ice compartment I was able to refreeze my ice packs. Microwave in room was helpful. I did not need or want room cleaning. Just got towels as needed. Staff was kind and helpful. BAD: We also used the sofa bed which was comfortable enough. But when we opened it up there were dried rice kernels in it from a past guest who had some take out in the sofa bed I guess who knows from how long ago. That was pretty gross but oh well. The air conditioning unit was so LOUD it disrupted sleep every time it kicked on. Ice machine on my floor did not work. Pool was small and dirty feeling. Game room had no functional games. We went to the zoo 10 mins away, and dinner at Delmar. Very convenient. Clayton was VERY quiet when we were there.

Solid 4 star rating Room for was large, spacious and clean. It had a large tub with a digital shower. Impressive lobby and good customer service. I booked at a good value. One of the best free hotel breakfasts I have ever had. (Very frequent traveler) Parking is a tad tricky with garage but it is ok. Game room doesn’t have any games Restaurant only open for breakfast Another hint, no “chain” restaurants in the area, lots of fine dining $$$; good and bad Great for date night, challenging for family lunch. Overall 4 star review, open the restaurant and would be a 5 on value and quality. Overall good job
