Met Expectations Highly recommend Pros Service: Valet, door staff and check in all very good. Food/Cigar lounge service: Excellent service from Becky and Simone in the Cigar Lounge and Aida at Casa Don Alfonso Food: Weekend brunch at Casa Don Alfonso was excellent Lobby Lounge: Live music is back-- we returned from dinner while the music was "in full swing". It was very loud so not "our scene" , but the crowd looked like they were enjoying it Gym: Excellent! Spa: No nail service, but you can walk across the street Location: There aren't too many US urban locations that can beat Clayton with all of the restaurants within walking distance and quick access to the highway to explore other areas Cons: Impossible to please everyone-- bed with the pillow topper a bit soft for me--others may love it.

Amazing hotel in St Louis Amazing hotel, especially given the pandemic, was immediately greeted and they accommodated my request for a late checkout. The service was by far one of the best and I have stayed at hundreds of Ritz Carlton hotels over the years. The management and staff get an A+!

Typical RC, upscale, great service, immaculate in every way. Ritz Carlton has a great location in an upscale suburb. Rooms are luxury, charming and immaculate. Club is now running, not like before but good enough. Only hotel that has managed to keep a credible club functioning for guests.

Great service, average facilities Stayed here over the weekend for a function. Check in (Danielle) was GREAT, as we were quite early and she moved a bunch of pieces around to get us into our room early. Room and hallway wasn't what we considered "Ritz" level. More like a Westin. Room was large, with distant views of the Arch, but not at all fancy. Shower was very nice, but rest of bathroom was pedestrian, with the most generic toilet imaginable. Function area (Solarium) was great with the whole side open for fresh air.

Average rooms. Staff not Ritz-Carlton level. Horrible lobby. Clean and comfortable rooms, albeit not luxury. More like a nice JW Marriott. Staff were cordial but not polished. Bartender and waitresses in lobby bar addressed me as “man,” not sir or by name. Waitress Kay was more interested in flirting with old men on expense accounts without their wives. Pretentious restaurant ... impossible to get a reservation as a guest at a reasonable time, even though the restaurant was not 100% full. Ate in lobby bar. Dark space with cheap decor that didn’t mash together well. Decorating on cheap. The entire lobby bar was a path for public and guests coming and going. No bread with meal. No offer of coffee or dessert. It felt like a country club bar, not a 5-star hotel bar. Lots of potential. Some better furniture, better atmosphere and more refined service.
