Anniversary and Birthday’s celebrations The Clearwater Beach Hilton has a great caring staff. Every staff member could not have been more friendly or helpful. The lobby bar tenders were attentive, and were open to conversation. Asking about how are stat was going? Tommy Tiki Bar staff made sure you had a menu and checked on you, without hovering over. This hotel is centrally located. You can walk to most of the activities. Local restaurants and entertainment are all within walking distance. The hotel beach is private. They have tables and chairs available around Tommy Tiki’s Bar. They have a life size chess board, bags, volleyball, and rings games . This hotel is for any type of travel. Family, couples , singles or friends! Highly recommend.

HOT rooms and money grab I have never been so disappointed in a Hilton property. I am an avid customer of the Hilton Hotels. For work and leisure, I always find a Hilton property to stay. I recently planned a Girls trip to the beach and was excited to stay at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa. It was expensive, I got two rooms, but it boasted of the large beach and the pictures all showed a beautiful beach, chairs and umbrellas. I called when booking to make sure the resort fee included beach chairs and umbrellas and was assured it did, WRONG! The resort fee did not include any chairs and umbrellas on the beach; it included chairs and umbrellas at the pool. So, for $150 a day in addition to a resort fee, I got to enjoy Hilton’s beach. On the beach, you are not allowed to take your own alcohol beverages; you have to purchase from their Tiki bar. In the pool area, you are not allowed to take drinks of any king, not even coffee in the morning, you have to purchase from their Tiki bar. In addition, all parking is valet at $29 a day so anytime you wanted to go out or wanted to get something from the vehicle it was at least a 15 minute wait. Putting aside the exorbitant fees, I was still pleased when we walked into the beautiful lobby. My joy ended there. The air conditioning in the rooms would not go below 77 degrees; it was hot and muggy. It was 100 degrees outside so a cool room was a must. The refrigerator in one of the rooms didn’t work, it also was hot inside. The sink in one of the bathrooms leaked. I reported all of this to the desk 2x, was assured maintenance would be right up however they never came (we stayed in the room one evening waiting.) I write all of this to say, I would not recommend staying here, especially in the summer. If you do, be prepared to spend a lot more money than for the room and resort fee and don’t expect a 4 star hotel. Buyer beware!!

Super old and rundown! I was probably generous in giving this place two stars! When we pulled up, I realized we had made a mistake.....the building is SUPER outdated and old. We booked for one night to break up our trip, driving home to SC from Marco Island. You have to use and pay for their valet parking service! You can only self park if you have a handicap permit.....this is super frustrating and expensive! While walking to our room through the hallways we noticed trash everywhere! Obviously no one was following up with trying to keep the hallways clean and free of trash. When we entered our room we were really disappointed. The rooms are very tiny and VERY outdated and old.....just gross! We were told when we complained that the carpet was "new"??? I had to pick up trash off of the floor, paper, a wrapper, etc...so obviously our room was not vacuumed or cleaned properly. We should have just left....but reminded ourselves it was only for one night. The bathroom was updated but VERY tiny and it seemed to be clean. The sliding bathroom door does not close....very strange! We changed and went out to enjoy the beach and pool area.....they DO NOT supply any chairs or umbrellas on the beach!!!!!! We had just left another Hilton property and a JW Marriott where everything was included in your resort fee.....I thought this was ridiculous....I was not going to pay an extra $95 for two chairs and an umbrella.....what was the resort fee for? They did offer towels for the beach and pool. The only plus or good thing about this "Resort" was the pool area seemed new and updated. I would never stay at this location again....

Enjoyable stay at the Hilton Clearwater Beach & Spa Really enjoyed our recent stay at the Hilton at Clearwater Beach. We were visiting as part of our anniversary stay and I had messaged the hotel prior to arrival to ask it was possible to get a slightly later checkout to catch our flight home to the UK. On arrival we found a celebratory bottle of champagne and a hand written card in our room which was a lovely surprise. Great location in the centre of bars & restaurants and very close to Pier 60 - we enjoyed all of the facilities including Tommy's Tiki Bar which was an ideal setting for a sunset view. My only criticism would be the price of the beach loungers at $29 each per day which are in addition to the cost of the room 'Beach Resort' ($251 per day for beach loungers and a cabana) So either take your own or buy a cheap set from Walmart on the way if there are quite a few of you would be my suggestion.

Avoid Booked a 1 night stay as were doing two weeks at the theme parks in Orlando and fancied a bit of luxury and beach time as a break. First issue was the price that you see is not the price you pay on Hilton website and then hit with another $80 dollars for parking and resort fees, (which were delivered at rapid pace in broken English at reception). I can park the car myself for free. Want a sun lounger on the beach? You have to pay, how is that a private beach? Want wifi? Sign up to be an honors member first - congrats you've two teenagers signed up now too. We had no towels, no soap, no coffee in the room - we rang reception and the towels were sent up quickly to their credit but I'm not spending my time on the phone to rectify the basics. We stayed in a budget hotel in International drive in Orlando who had no such issues and this is a Hilton???? Can someone explain why the bathroom door doesn't actually close - see photo - idiotic design. The pool bar, where the loungers are FREE! WOW! Was excellent and the staff were great. On checking out I did raise some of these concerns as was another guest who was debating the cost of her stay at check out but didn't seem interested. Overall a disappointing stay and I really wouldn't recommend this place at all.
