Keeps getting better! We have stayed at the Glidden house many times in the last few years and it is getting better and better, as it goes through some needed renovations. We stayed in a suite for the first time. As they are renovating the first-floor hallway and when we complained about the paint odor, we were switched to a suite. The suite is well furnished and pleasantly decorated, consisting of a separate living room with a fold-out sofas, separate armchairs, ottomans and a writing desk, along with a wet bar area with microwave and mini-fridge. The bedroom has an additional armchair by a window with an ottoman. Plenty of comfortable chairs, and nice artwork to look at. As this is a third-floor suite, most of the light came from dormers on all three sides. In contrast to the regular bedrooms, there is a walk-in shower. Breakfast is even better than before, with a good selection of pastries, several hot items and fruits. I have been told that the breakfast was "glorious" before the pandemic. Not sure if it has gotten back to that "glorious" state. As always, the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to all the museums and parking is also very convenient. Would love to see the hotel open an on-site restaurant. The only downside to the Glidden House is that as it gets better and better, reservations are getting harder and harder to get.

Lovely place surrounded by high culture A charming small hotel in the artsy area in East Cleveland, cheek by jowl with Case Western and the Cleveland Clinic, among other institutions. Great facilities, excellent service from courteous, professional staff. We went for an afternoon at the art museum and an evening with the orchestra, and both were easy walks.

$400 Hotels Sold Out... so we booked this for $179, with their Cleveland Clinic discount. We felt so lucky, especially after checking in and seeing the place. Then we discovered the French restaurant we booked that night, L'albatros, was on the same block. More luck! Breakfast is included and the baked goods were amazing. It was nice to get a 12pm check-out, as my husband''s clinic appointment ran late. Parking is $12 at the hotel.

Comfortable Tradition in Cleveland We were lucky to discover the Glidden House as an excellent place to stay in Cleveland. The location is great, next to Case Western Reserve University and major museums. The hotel has the right blend of style, tradition, history, and charm. Breakfast is provided and one of the best we've had. We just might have to return.

A Most Memorable Stay Coupled with our attendance to a Rolling Stones Concert, we had the best time at this "hotel"! Our Master Suite was spacious and very comfortable. This "House" is pretty amazing with surprises at every corner. The walk-in shower was a welcome change, the swiveling TV boasted a sharp picture adjoining a sitting area and the bed was super comfy. Okay, the pillows could have been plumper and the doors were a bit noisy but amenities made up for it. As we scrambled for a way to get to the concert venue, Lex (in the front office) was most helpful in guiding us to our destination. A big thank you to Lex for saving us big bucks and precious time in getting there! Need to mention the breakfast buffet which boasted a delicious variety of choices. Everything was so yummy and beautiful to look at as well. Oh, and the outdoor gardens are colorful and gorgeous. Snap lots of photos........
