Mostly good! Pros: Obviously the location near Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and Progressive Field, but also local restaurants. Cleveland downtown was the place to be. Check-in and check-out went well for us and our room was very clean. Our room was ready, but not everyone’s was. Elevators were both working unlike previous post. Cons: the valet service. The valets seemed overwhelmed and cars were so backed up, double parked everywhere. We heard rumors in the lobby that the police were threatening to tow vehicles it was so bad. Not only was it way backed up at check-in, but when we left Rocket Mortgage at 11 PM, it was still backed up. We even saw one car that was there at check-in. Thankfully we got a car service that dropped us off three lanes from curb it was so bad. Other small con, our bathroom was very small. One had to close the door to get to the toilet paper. But, all in all, we would stay there again even though it was a little pricey.

When Private Equity Buys Hotels You know how you read those horror stories about how private equity companies buy nursing homes and then let your grandma sit in warm piss for days because it means they can squeeze out more profits? That's what the financial company who runs this hotel has done. It's like they looked in every nook, corner, and cranny to save pennies while making this hotel as subpar as possible. My first sign should have been when we checked in and no one was at the receptionist desk. The phone was also ringing off the hook. A bored, but friendly man finally came from the sofa in the marketplace to rush me through checkin before returning to lounging. I noticed the sign behind the desk read "this hotel is owned by Glenmont Capital Management LLC." I should have known. Long story short: 1. the carpet is dirty 2. there are stains on the walls 3. there was a hole in the wall along the hallway through which you could see sunlight 4. There was water damage on the ceiling 5. the furniture appears to never have been cleaned The whole place gives a vibe of icky cheap motel. I felt so bad for booking it, I kept apologizing to my family and bought a few rounds at the bar so bourbon could help me make it through the night. Private equity should stick to bankrupting the economy and screwing people with their mortgages instead of branching out to ruin vacations.

Stay away unless you enjoy frustration and anxiety The worst experience I ever had with a hotel. Valet parking is a nightmare. Get to hotel wait for 2 hours to get parked, not all hotels fault but a lot was. Finally just gave them keys and said “ park it when you can”. Go to register at 6 o clock and get told room is not ready. I lost it. We were there for a concert, wanted to get dinner before concert it didn’t happen because of the hotel total disorganization. Got to room and no toilet paper, roll was empty. It may be close to the Field House but for $500 a night it is a total disaster.

Awful - no regard for customers at all Sure the location was perfect for the concert but nobody tells you how awful this place is! They advertise valet parking - for $45 and let me tell you how that works …..the valet was so backed up the city shut down the street to the hotel! This was after the city worker said just keep circling the block til they can fit you in. Nearly 2 hrs later of illegally blocking traffic on a side street we were able to valet. So 2 hrs and plenty of gas wasted after a 2hr drive to get there. Get to the front desk at 5:30pm and guess what…. Room is NOT ready! That’s right 1.5 hrs after check in and no room. So now we have to go to the concert as is because nobody knows when the room will open they are busy. Since I pre paid for my room the only thing that they would do is waive the $45 valet fee. Geesh thanks and guess what when I go to check out the next morning had to again ask about waiving the valet fee because they were charging me. Zero customer service and zero regards to anyone’s time. This hotel thrives off of location only but they offer straight junk in terms of rooms and service - do yourself a favor and book a few blocks away.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I am just going to bullet point all of the issues from the moment we entered our room : -Room was not clean, there was black hairs on the sheets/pillows, brown stain on sheets -Black hairs on shower wall -Months of dust piled up in corner under sitting chair -Old coffee spilled all underneath the machine, sticky, gross -Broken toilet seat, broken shower shelf -Brown water stains on ceiling -stained sitting chair -literal crust in bottom of bathroom garbage can (under garbage bag) -candy wrappers under the cushion of the sitting chair (show you how well they actually clean) -broken window blinds To top it off, I was woken up on night two at 7a by the housekeeper cleaning the room across the hall yelling in another language on speaker phone for over an hour, while my kids tried to sleep. The only parking option is valet for $45 per day. We called ahead to have our car ready and waited over 45 minutes to have our car brought to us, causing us to be late for a scheduled event. The ONLY good thing was the guest service at the front desk. The amount of money I paid to stay in this disgusting, not sanitary hotel is maddening. I highly DO NOT recommend this stay, unless all of the above does not bother you.
