Enchanting oasis with a wandering peacock, lavender and figs Enchanting oasis with lavender, figs, a wandering peacock, green woodpeckers...felt like being transported to Tuscany by the sea. Great service, very delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Very relaxing stay, no cars, no traffic just fresh sweet country air and starry skies... Many thanks to Chris and team! Highly recommend it!

Food theatre not to be missed A brilliant dinner experience in this amazing gem of a hotel. A very warm welcome by a friendly team who took time to explain the history of the place. The dining areas are spacious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a 3 course meal of delicious food from local ingredients.

Almost great! It's so very English - in a nice way. The quirky buildings, the extensive grounds, the seashore walks … and swimming pools. The food is good, but a mite pretentious and we were relieved to eat out on our fourth and last night because there was nothing left on the menu we would want to eat. The modern rooms are comfortable, but beware of very small double beds – we moved rooms. In the building we stayed in, the plumbing was apparently three months old and definitely having teething troubles: shower drain blocked, no hot water one evening, and, inexplicably, the loo seats are too small! I mean, come on guys! They're meant to cover all the porcelain. That said, it wasn't our first visit and won't be our last. Super relaxing (except for guests arriving/leaving by helicopter), good tempered service. And I finally read Anna Karenina.

Fabulous birthday celebration Thoroughly enjoyed an overnight stay to celebrate my 60th. Staff were attentive, the food was delicious, and the spa was very relaxing, particularly the neck, back and shoulder massage. Had invigorating walks on the beach and an open air swim to burn off the treats.

A break with our rescue greyhound A beautiful place that makes you feel like you have been transported to a medieval village! The room was lovely with a gorgeous ensuite. The food was glorious and at breakfast our dog was given a sausage! Dogs are SO welcome! I would definitely recommend here!
