Not perfect, but a great stay! Will be back! We stayed a total of 7 nights for family vacation. We enjoyed the closeness to the beach, Cocoa Beach Pier, and all the nearby stores & shops. The pool was very nice and clean. Goes up to 9ft deep. The staff was wonderful. Malinda, who does the breakfast through the week, was absolutely amazing. She was very personable, yet professional. She worked very hard to serve our family, yet holding a wonderful conversation with us every day she was there. She remembered our names after the first day, which was surprising, being many people come through there. You can tell that she really cared about the people who came in there and this wasn't "just a job" to her. She had a genuinity to her that was refreshing, especially with how the world is these days. Our AC was cool, but if you slept in the bed further away from it, you did get hot. The kitchen sink would leak if you plugged the sink to do dishes, so we would do dishes while running a little water. The restroom was difficult to breathe in, even if not running the shower. It seemed like there wasn't a vent, even though there was one. These are things that happen with older buildings, but can be fixed. I do believe that housekeeping could do a better job at sweeping and mopping the floors. I had to wear socks because my feet would get black from walking around in our room barefoot, on the very first day of our stay. We brought paper towels with us, which is a necessity for our family. I took some paper towels and wiped the floor... it was disgusting. However, housekeeping did do a great job on changing our bedding and bringing in towels. The toilet paper is what my dad would refer to as "John Wayne toilet paper" super rough. We bought a small pack of good toilet paper at the beginning of our stay to make it more comfortable for us. The shower had great water pressure and had the curved shower curtain rod, which was appreciated. The beds/mattresses were super comfy, which also was greatly appreciated. The USB plugs in our lamps didn't work to charge our phones, and the plug ins made into the bedside table was glitchy. The kitchen had a pot, pan, skillet and minimal kitchen utensils along with plates, bowls, coffee cups and plastic cups. I hoped it would have a strainer, even a small cheap one. The Front desk may have had one, but I didn't call to ask. And it would've been an unwanted trip to walk there to get it even if they did have one. Our balcony was nice to sit on, however I personally enjoyed the spot that was welcome to everyone on the 2nd floor that overlooked the pool. My husband and I would grill out on the grill by the pool and sit either at the picnic table by the grill or go up there to eat. We would sit out there almost every night. It is within walking distance to Publix and some shops for souvenir shopping. If you decide to fly and Uber to the hotel, you would be fine. We went jet skiing, para sailing and to the zoo doing ziplining and obstacle courses with the tree top trek challenge course. We were close enough to a Sam's Club to stock up on some necessities while saving $$ while on vacation. We ate at some nearby restaurants as well. Mexican, sea food, and a bar & grill. So many options, a lot of which is on the beach with great views. All in all, even with some minute inconveniences and the dirty floor that needed mopped badly, I still gave this hotel a good rating. The good far outweighed the bad. I'll definitely be back again.
