Five Stars! Wonderful experience!!! Rooms are spacious, clean,and comfortable! Staff is very inviting,personable,and professional! Great location! Nice amenities such as free breakfast.fitness center, and much more! I would highly recommend._ Stay here whenever you're in the area!!

Good place to stay…first impressions aside At first glance, we weren’t sure if we made the correct choice for lodging. There was lots of construction in the road out front and several young people loitering outside the building when we arrived. However, we ended up having a great stay. The room was very nice and clean. The shower water pressure was exceptional. The breakfast was good. We felt safe. There is a lot of car and foot traffic through the neighborhood.

Will come again! We had a great stay. The property was very clean, bright, and well-maintained. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast/coffee was good. I would definitely come back and highly recommend. Good location if you were going to UMD.

Bad smelling room We were in room 816 the room had a horrible mildew smell. The bathroom had a awful odor as well. There was hair that wasn’t ours in the bathroom when we first got in there. The tv was nice and it was a decent location. We were suppose to stay two days and left after just one due to the smell in our room. Maybe it was just our room but I didn’t want to chance it to move to another room. Never had issues with holiday inn express before so who knows.

“Good Enough” This hotel, although, conveniently located, is on a very, very, very busy street. Very close to the University, and a lot of fun places to eat and hang out, but it comes at the cost of being in an ever so slightly “shady” area. Once inside the hotel, you forget about all of it, and the staff do an excellent job of making you feel welcome and this older property. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that it is conveniently located to the green line, but we were unprepared for all of the fees associated with parking and riding in to DC. We wish we would have reserved parking lot in town and just driven.
