CASA Conference This was a WONDERFUL experience, Staff was very helpful and friendly! I would love to attend again next year and hope it will be at the Hyatt as well.

Service Really Let This Mundane Hotel Down I'm on a "mattress" run to make my top tier Hyatt status for the year, so when I was recently in Columbus to see friends, I automatically chose the Hyatt Regency. I went in knowing nothing about it, other than it gets solid Trip Advisor reviews. I was underwhelmed, overall, but it's a typical convention property. I checked in online and my mobile key was delivered to the Hyatt app, so I skipped the typical check-in process. The hotel is large, cavernous and fairly dated-looking. Getting to the room I was stuck by how dark and dated it was. If geometric patterns and a 1985 vibe is your thing, you'll love it. The room was comfortable, well-laid out and incredibly clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was really modern and looked great (not sure why the rooms look so old). Overall, the rooms are nothing fancy, but are completely fine for a couple of nights. The hotel has a nice gym, with plenty of equipment and everything was in good shape. The main issue for me with this hotel was the lack of service or sense of anyone trying to be proactive. Before I arrived, I indicated on the app I wanted daily room cleaning. After my first night's stay, I waited until around 2pm and no one had come to clean. I messaged the hotel on the app at 2:30 and asked for someone to come clean. The person said, "They will be up there shortly". I waited until 5pm and no one had come, so I went to the front desk and asked again. They seemed really perplexed by my request and it had to involve three different people. Finally, the girl at the desk said, "Yes, they will be right up to clean". I left for dinner and came back around 11pm. The room was still dirty. The next morning, I messaged the app again and told them no one had come and they just said, "Sorry, is there anything else we can do for you?" It was surprising how no one took ownership or initiative of the issue. It felt like communication at this hotel needs to be worked on. The hotel is centrally-located in downtown Columbus. It was an easy walk anywhere I needed to go - and a quick 15 minute Uber ride to the airport. I most likely wouldn't stay here again. It's just a big, impersonal hotel where the staff don't really seem to care. Most of the dates I looked at, the hotel was on the lower end of the cost spectrum, so it might be a good option for a fairly cheap one or two nights, as long as you keep your expectations low.

Clean, Easy, Safe! Went to a concert and it was a 0.2 mile walk and safe skywalk from garage to hotel, super modern rooms, walls are thin though that was the only bad part
