Almost perfect Service, hotel and rooms were fantastic. Also, breakfast was good - coming from Europe we missed vegetables or more fruits, but this was not the biggest deal. The hotel is next to the metro station (but there is 500m walking to it as there is no direct access) and there is a huge car park, if coming by car. And the hotel is close to big shops and restaurants, so this was so convenient. Although location of hotel was good, then neighborhood was a bit challenging - outside hotel we always were on guard as there were many drug using persons, but on other hand - they are in all Los Angelos big area (the marihuana smell was terrible in all Los Angelos) - while we stayed, we saw on news street gang violence in Los Angelos are, car burnings in Los Angelos center and experienced closure of whole Long Beach area by police because of planed teens takeover. Even in Santa Monica area there were lot of drug users in daylight...

Food Bandit They had breakfast actually a pretty good one but the lady that was preparing the food was back there with her shoe in her hand and when I asked her for something she put her shoe back on and preceded to touch the food. One day someone filled up 4 plates of meat and walked out the hotel. The room was clean enough for you to sleep and shower. I personally will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

Out of the way, but not out of reach I booked the Crystal for a long weekend in LA but couldn't afford anywhere in LA proper. Turns out it wasn't too bad a choice. The Crystal is near two things that came in really handy: a shopping mall with plenty of food options as well as a couple places to buy essentials that we forgot to pack, and a metro station (Artesia), though it isn't as direct to get to. To get to it, you need to exit the hotel, turn left and walk up the on ramp into the hotel guest parking lot then turn right onto the bridge over the tracks. After turning right at the corner, you'll find the entrance proper to Artesia station. The hotel itself was very comfortable. Check in was straightforward. The check-in paperwork mentioned a $100 deposit that needed to be taken, but we were informed that it was no longer necessary. My favorite part of our stay was the buffet breakfast. You get paper tickets for it so check in. One, per person, per day. We also made sure to spend some time in the pool. To that end, we requested a room near it. The fitness center left a lot to be desired but, then again, it was a hotel fitness center. The treadmill required a key from the front desk to use and one of the other machines was out of order. Regardless, the gym had enough equipment for us to get a good sweat going. My recommendation: If you don't mind commuting downtown for an LA vacation and appreciate leaving that hustle and bustle behind at the end of your sightseeing days, consider the Crystal for your LA stay.

Super clean Super clean and friendly staff. We stayed a weekend before our cruise. Staff was always friendly... the only small issue will be a lack of a restaurant. The one in casino was ok, but nothing to write home about it. Location is sketchy, but uber was always available
