terrible drove down to NC for a funeral and this was the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed in.... prisoner with shackles in front of the hotel when we pulled up rude staff bugs in room with a bad fish / mold smell dirty wet clothes on the floor. Shower did not work...middle of night i heard a tap noise for hours like someone was trying to break in. I complained and they did nothing for me but try and keep my security deposit. pool small and hot tub had white stuff floating in it. stay away esp. with small children!

What has happened to Country Inns & Suites? Back just a few years ago, our go-to hotel was always Country Inns & Suites (by Carlson, then). So when we were looking for a place to sleep for the night on a trip, we saw that one was nearby and we were tired and needed to sleep. So I used the app to make a reservation. The clerk at the front desk was nice and had a room for us and all went fine, until we walked into the room. It was rank. Smelled like a dead mouse or dirty socks or something. But before I could say we needed to get another room, one of our party was showering and the other was ready to collapse, so we stayed. While they were getting ready for bed, I sat in the front room (this was a "suite"--room 311--and included a little 10x10 front entry room with three pieces of sitting furniture. Got connected, went 15 feet back to the sleeping area and discovered that in that short distance, connectivity to wifi was not possible. No signal at all. Sigh. Then the first member of our trio came out and announced that the shower didn't drain and that she was in ankle-deep water while showering. Somehow, we got through a very poor night's sleep and went down for a less-than-mediocre breakfast the next morning. I was ready to tell the front desk of our woes when we left, only to find that a jar for returning keys was all that was at the front desk. We yelled towards the back that we were checking out (hoping someone would come out) and got only a, "great; you don't have to do anything; you're good" reply.

Wouldn't recommend for family's with over 3 children. The rooms were kind of small for me and my family, the pool and spa were nice, the TVs were old and barely were able to work with my Nintendo switch. the breakfast was good, if I were able to id give this a 1.5.

Under construction - stay somewhere else! Honestly, this entire experience was pretty terrible. The hotel was under construction (not disclosed on their website), so lots of things, from the scanner to get in at night to the ice machine, the hot tub and the entire area for breakfast, were not working properly. Even the usually pleasant entry area was barren. Breakfast was awful - in a tiny room, with very limited and unappealing options and frozen apple juice. The traffic noise was also extremely loud. The indoor pool was also cold. One positive, the room was clean and the housekeeping lady was very friendly. Definitely NOT recommended!

Nice Stay The hotel was under renovations when we visited. I'm sure it will look even nicer once everything's done. It was still a great place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. I would stay again when passing through the area.
