Chateaubleau Hotel

Over-Charged and Terrible We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on Oct. 8, 2024 (during Hurricane Milton evacuations). Our pre-paid room at another motel was given away due to over-booking, so management there helped us get a room at Chateaubleau, and said this is the only room they could find in the area and used my credit card to book it. She indicated there would be no problem regarding my 3 pets (2 cats in carriers & a small dog). We were disgusted about the room condition...the carpet was filthy, ceiling had water leakage spot (mold?) as well as poorly repaired other areas, drapes falling off on one side, no toilet tissue spindle, room phone was present, but had no connection, and AC did not work properly. When taking a shower, the tub did not drain properly, so you found yourself wading in a tub half full of water. The price of my bill was $287.02 for 1 night. They did not offer any relaxed pet fee or waiver due to the hurricane (even though the 2 cats remained in their carriers) and was charged $84.75 (this included a tax too!) pet charge. Their website indicated rooms had a coffee/tea maker, refrigerator and hair dryer, however our room DID NOT INCLUDE THESE. After discussing this awful situation with others, we were encouraged to let management know, which I did. However, they failed to reply back which speaks volumes. Our room was not fit for any guests to stay in.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! DO NOT STAY HERE! DO NOT EVEN GO INSIDE! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! THIS hellhole was absolutely FILTHY! The outside looked like crap, but the lobby made us think, "Well, maybe!" But thennnn, we took the elevator to our floor! Sweet Mary!!! First, when the elevator doors opened, the elevator was STILL moving up, there was a broken phone desk in the hallway and the hallway carpet looked like an airport runway! The hallway walls were filthy and dingy! The doors at the end of each hallway were open making it very humid and sticky in the halls. THEN WE GOT TO THE ROOM OF DOOM!!!! We stepped into the nastiest room I have EVERRRRR seen! Floor Stains of every substance known to man (and some from man -gross!!!) There was stray litter on the floor, hand prints on the walls, BOOGERS ON THE WALL (yukkerz)!!!!! There was mismatched, old, and broken furniture. The BED was "just WAITING" to give a venereal disease to anyone who lays on it!!! The bathroom door did not latch when closed, the tube was of mold and mildew, the tube was dirty, the tile floors were cracked, the "tree" air freshener, hanging on the light switch was a bit odd! The bath towels appeared used, the lampshade had wet stains on it. (HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN???!!!?!?! LASTLY!!! and this is the "WEIRDEST THING" I have eveerrrrr seen!!! There was a sink by the front door as you go out.... GREEN LEAVES GROWING OUT OF THE DRAIN!!!! READ THIS... AND THE OTHER REVIEWS, AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!! IF YOU STAY HERE AFTER ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THIS... OH !! AND NO REFUNDS!!!!

Petrified!!! This was just a horrible experience!!! We checked in 1:40am and checked out 11am. The telephone did not work! The lamps did not work _ The sheets were terrible...there were stains on the carpet! The hallway smelled like pee! The walls and furniture were horrendous!! The drapes were dirty _ This was just an awful experience!! The manager needs a wake-up call!! Someone needs to report this place. I feel scammed to be honest!! It was unfair to pay for a whole night when it was uncomfortable. The only positive thing about the room were the towels...The bathroom had pee stains, mold and rust. The pictures online were from the time the hotel was built! I am still in awe!!

NIGHTMARE This is a horrible place ! Everything is dirty, nothing works phone remote shower TV and don't take shoes off and walk around the rug will make your feet dirty.It was so expensive to send two nights here and iy was not worth even staying free NEVER AGAIN

Dirty, smelly, decrepit rooms. You can’t stay here even for one night.. This place is rough and I don’t recommend staying here. I knew going in it was marginal but it was really not acceptable.. the adjacent building the room smells so bad I just couldn’t stay there so I went back and they put me in the main building which was better but still not acceptable.
