Motel This is a motel on the outskirts of crescent city. While there may not have been any better options this one is not one we will stay in again. Think keep your socks on because the carpet is sticky In addition our Credit Card info was stolen after checking into this Motel

Minutes from Redwood Forest Quick and friendly check in. Was warned at check in that the Wifi might not work, it worked fine for us. Room was spacious enough, your basic budget lodging with a nice size TV. First time seeing "packets" of shampoo and lotion, and the soap was teeny tiny, but it served it's purpose. Coffee maker and large fridge in the room. A/C worked great. Coffee maker had used coffee packet in the machine from the previous occupants. Had an issue with the tub not draining and some mold(?) on the shower curtain and the wall where the shower curtain sat. Left a note at the front desk stating such, as we left early that morning to start our day, and they were closed. When we returned that evening they had cleared the tub, but surprisingly, didn't remove the mold(?), which I could do with my fingers. Tub backed up again after the 2nd shower. Quietness depended on your neighbors. First night we had a crying baby all night, not much sleep. 2nd night, everyone had their TV's off by 10pm, slept just fine. No road noise at all. A disappointing stay as most reviews are really good. Hopefully this was just a one off.

Good value for the price Stayed one night. Quiet location, easy parking right in front of the room. Spacious clean room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Amenities included refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Adequate number of power jacks. Bathroom with everything in working order. Good water pressure in the shower. Average wifi. Good value for the price.

Surprisingly good and clean motel for the price. The front desk lady was extremely helpful when my laptop wouldn’t connect to the internet. The Internet was fast. No breakfast because of Covid. Second night there, I had my doubts because it seemed that for some unknown reason (the motel was ¾ empty) they would put guests in adjacent rooms, so I could hear TV in the room to the left and in the room to the right. Glad they switched them off in time for me to go to bed.

Kind Management Unfortunately we never got to stay at the property but I need to give a shout out to the Management at the Westward Inn. On the day of our booking there were Forest Fires and we could not travel. We were well past the free cancellation period, so I didn’t expect a refund. The Westward Inn Management was very understanding and offered a full refund, they didn’t have to, but chose to. Thank you Westward Inn! We hope we will be able to stay with you some other time!
