Rustic style with lots of amenities We wanted to experience an old-fashioned Minnesota lodge, and Whitefish delivered! At once rustic and modern, with big, welcoming common spaces and unique décor, and friendly and helpful staff, it was all we wished for and more. The sauna, swimming pools and giant jacuzzi were particularly nice. This would be a fun place to come to with friends and/or with kids, and we can see the appeal for weddings (though a hunting-themed lodge won't be for all). Our only disappointment was Crosslake itself, which is decidedly not rustic, but rather feels like a fancy suburb, nowhere near as fun as Crosby. But we'd definitely come back! PRO TIP: Don't book online; call them!

Musty, moldy and smelly!!! We stayed here February 11th, 2023. As we entered the hotel the smell of musty, old basement overpowered us, the pool area was atrocious, the ceiling was falling off, there was black mold on the walls and ceiling, the ventilation system wasn’t working so 3 fans were blowing air around, essentially doing nothing. There was white mildew on the “bar”, the water in the kids pool was green, and standing water in the bathroom. We had to sleep with the window open in our room due to the smell, thank goodness it was almost 50 degrees that day!!! I do not recommend staying in this dump!! Obviously hasn’t been inspected in awhile and needs to be condemned!!!!

No COVID safety that we could see If you are looking for a place that takes COVID19 seriously this is not for you. Masks are recommended not mandatory says sign on the door despite state mask mandate. Staff not wearing masks at check in or attending to breakfast buffet. Large groups lounging in lobby not wearing masks. Tables in breakfast area definitely not 6 feet a part. Most guests not wearing masks. No signs of any extra cleaning that we could see. Pool capacity was not enforced that we could see. Wasn't expecting a hospital setting but definitely didn't feel comfortable with the lack of any visible COVID precautions.

Great Customer Service and Accomodations I had a large group for our local snowmobile club to book at the hotel. Approximately 15-20 rooms. I emailed Crystal Glaser, the Director of Sales and Marketing. The rooms we needed were mostly suites. She accommodated our every need. And she was very patient with me as we exchanged probably around 30 emails. We had an issue with a family of 5 in the club that wanted to book the kiddie suite but was told it wasn't pet friendly, so she then asked the front desk associate if they had 2 adjoining queen rooms that were pet friendly that she could book and again was told no. I contacted Crystal and asked if there was any rooms that they could book for the whole family that were pet friendly (for a miniature Chihuahua) and she responded to my email immediately and was able to get rooms for them. Crystal has been absolutely amazing to work with for such a large group. Even on weekends she responds to emails immediately. And I never expected any response other that a Monday-Friday business hours. But I can guarantee she went out of her way, outside of her work hours to assist us with our needs. We haven't even stayed at the hotel yet. But I would absolutely stay here again. And I'm sure our snowmobile club will be booking more trips with the Whitefish Hotel in the future. Crystal Glaser, you are amazing and I hope corporate recognizes you for that! I would also like to thank Kate, the front desk manager for helping with the pet friendly room. I will update more after the stay.

Great place to stay in Crosslake Have stayed here a number of times before and been very satisfied. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Will stay here again. Good location. The noise level was very good. The breakfast they provided was better than most other hotels you providing at this time.
