Best in Cuxhaven Very good hotel, nice breakfast, good spa area, quiet rooms. Even the room closest to spa was quiet. In the room bathrobe, extra towel and slippers - all handy for the use in spa.
Parking area is sufficient, two parkings one in the front of the main entrance and one in the backyard. Costs 10€ per night, but always spots available.

Well rated 4 star hotel Reception: friendly and professional, efficient process
Room: spacious enough for its category, nicely furnished, comfortable bed
Bathroom: functional (little downside: no body lotion)
Housekeeping: excellent
Breakfast/Restaurant: fantastic view from the 6th floor, food and drinks average quality
Pool/Sauna: a bit overrated in the description of the hotel, the pool is really tiny (crowded when 2 people are in it)

80s style hotel - do not expect too much Where's their marketing suggests you'll end-up at an upscale place, this hotel is totally a flashback to the 1980s. Starting with the guest rooms all the way to the restaurant and breakfast area. Especially the single guest rooms are tiny and super old-fashioned when it comes to furniture, bathroomes, equipment and even room doors. But they're comfortable and their shower has a good water pressure and temperature. Parking costs money, which I found odd.

Outstanding view, modern rooms, friendly staff and a great kitchen Checked in for two days at this Hotel. Our first impression from the outside was....mixed. It dates back to at least the seventeen but - the very moment we stepped in we’d been positively surprised.
Well renovated, friendly staff, very nice and cosy rooms (5th floor), spectacular view from the room and especially from the restaurant on the 6th floor to the sea and the maritime traffic heading to Hamburg.
Our room was modern and had a great, maritime flair. The spacious, tidy and nice bathroom was inviting too.
The spa area had nice saunas and a small pool, pitifully no wellness offers like massages had been available, but that’s just a minor flaw.
The restaurant on the 6th floor offers, besides its spectacular view an open kitchen and, dry aged beef at its best. Worth every penny they ask for (and some pennies they ask!).
The next day we tried their bar with a wide range of craft beers, great taste. Recommend you to visit it.
We will definitely come back to Donner’s next time we’re around.

Close to restaurants, the sea, and shops. I stayed at Donner's while on a work trip to Nordholz. The parking lot is a little tricky to find if it's your first visit, but there *is* a Best Western sign, it's just easy to miss, especially at nite. The rooms are nicely appointed, the breakfast is delicious, and there's lots to do within a quick walk. Check out the lighthouse and harbor nearby, or go inland to see a lot of quaint and historical architecture. There's a Real nearby (Walmart'ish but a bit smaller), along with a lot of restaurants and sights to see. I'll stay there again if I get back to Cuxhaven.
