Pleasant one night stay by the Galleria I wish I could give this one all 5 stars but, I have to deduct one for the lack of cleanliness. I had to switch rooms because, I found some strands of hair on my bed pillow. The hotel staff was generous enough to offer me a higher floor room as a replacement so, I will give them that! Other than that, this hotel is a good place to stay if you are looking to be somewhere close to the Galleria Mall. The room was nice and big and the bed was comfortable. Great staff and they sure do take good care of you!

Stay if you do not need to sleep Unfortunately a huge party event two floors below our room lasted until after 2am. Apparently sanctioned by the hotel owner, this party kept us from a restful weekend getaway. We hoped for a better experience due to the “star” rating of this hotel but disappointed and will not return.

Do Not Stay Here This is the worst hotel stay I have ever had and I’m currently in it. I booked this for a small get away which was also a surprise for my hunnie. As I’m sitting here I can’t wait to go home. The reception was cold and very disorganized! The young woman that checked us in was unfriendly and dry! We got room 312 which is an executive suite. It’s located by a stairway and the housekeeping area. On the initial entry the room is ok. As you come further in the room it has old furniture that is scratched and dirty. The housekeeping is lack luster. The walls are stained. The refrigerator cabinet is clunky and unstable. The fridge is lopsided and rocks when you open and close it! The furniture is stained, the headboard is stained! The curtains are stained in several areas including one particular stain that looks like seamen _! I’m very disappointed and disgusted as this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and parking is $20. I will never stay here again and Marriott should be very ashamed of this location and it needs a revamp ASAP! I have now checked out of this place and gone home I was there just a few hours now that is sad!

Incompetent management, lack of staff, no security No security here at all. Front desk staff are always prepared with a lie if something isn't right. Staffing here is a disaster and many people will not feel safe or comfortable. Is there even a manager here? No one responds to emails. There was an intentional shortage of desk staff during my stay. At least half the time there was no one at the front desk. Similarly, calls to the front desk went unanswered. These is no security and I witnessed a long dispute at the bar between overserved very drunk passengers and a very drunk prostitute. Finally someone complained to the ONE employee on duty who tried to kick the prostitute out. They eventually called the police after 30 minutes of shouting and swearing. If something happens to you here you are on your own. There is no one on duty to help you. I will never stay at this property again and recommend those who value safety and security to avoid this disaster. What an embarrassment to the le Meridien brand.

Some Charges During COVID are Questionable This hotel is a decent and more affordable option for hotels near Galleria Mall. So, the location could be great. However, just to the east of this hotel is a sketchy neighborhood. Also, the hotel charges for parking during COVID, despite there being no valet - so, technically, you should be able to park in open spots reserved for valet. So, the price per vehicle parking offsets it's value. The rooms are typically large, but we've been in two different sized rooms. The hotel is pet friendly, but it's $75 per pet, which is a bit steep in my opinion and experience, for a non-refundable pet fee. There's literally no where you can walk your dog. An apparent open area across the road to the south has private property warnings all over it.
