Not for special occasions Stayed at the lodge for my wife and I 's 23rd wedding anniversary. There were some good and bad as with all properties. Room pros: Design was awesome my wife loved be able to get ready and see out the window to the beach and palm trees. Ac worked well. Walk is shower was very spacious. Plunge pool was great. Decor was nice Coffee and filtered water was good Room cons : Headboard had screws coming through which was a safety hazard. Front desk took care of it fairly quickly View out of our side window was a trash pile as seen in photos TV wasn't working most of our stay which was fine because we didn't come to watch TV. Water in the shower was Luke warm. Bed was not super comfortable and we kept sinking into the middle. We had ants the last day we were there Not a big deal but more of an observation Room service they missed cleaning the mirror both times Service Pros: Most every one was friendly and said good morning, afternoon, evening. Pool bartender Lucas was nice and always smiling. Housekeeping and maintenance personnel was very friendly as well. Breakfast was good all days The Wood fired Pizza was decent as well. What other pros for the location Cons: DO NOT COME FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION We went on our anniversary and mentioned this when booking, when checking in, and for our dinner. Asked if they could do something special for us. And nothing was done. No note or flowers or bottle of anything. Pretty dissatisfied with the level of service. I have been to several hotels that provided chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Anniversary dinner at paddle house I asked the manager to make it special for us and he said he would see what he could do. Just lip service nothing was done. To make matters worse my wifes food came out cold and tasted awful. Asked to get something else and was told by the waiter we would have to pay for the steak that was inedible and "what do you want me to do with it" terrible customer service. Manager did take it off our bill eventually. However it was awkward I had finished my meal and 20 minutes later my wife's replacement came. No apology. Never checked back with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We only ate one dinner there which is probably the smartest decision they had luxury prices for their food and the food was mediocre at best. You need WhatsApp for service but half the time they do not answer. Location Pros: Beach was warm and right there. There were a lot of lounge chairs and shelter to hang out on the beach. They also have a really awesome rope swing for kids or adults. They have mesh hammocks to relax in over the water. Hotel location is decently far from actual town. Which is good and bad. Very nice decorations in the main lobby area and the grounds were nice. Cons: Kayaks are in need of attention. Most of the oars were broken. No handle for dragging the kayak so the rope dug into your hands. Romantic couples massage was not worth the $ at butterflies spa. I was left tighter than when I went in. The soak afterwards was too hot to get in and had to add a lot of cold water had the tub for 30 minutes stayed for less than ten. All in all a decent place to visit if you are not going for a special occasion. Also could have been the time of year. Very hot in early August. And sooooo many bugs

Always a Great Trip! We are a family of five with three growing kids, and we always enjoy our stay at The Lodge @ Jaguar Reef. Staff is incredibly friendly. Captain Larry is the best! Incredible smile and always willing to help you with anything you may need. The atmosphere at Paddlehouse is always warm and inviting with great views and fantastic sea breeze. The Dock is always a great escape to unwind with two pool options or some rooms even have small plunge pool right outside your patio door.

Perfect beachfront chill out The staff was fantastic! Constantly checking in and doing whatever they could (and more!) to make sure we were having a great time and well taken care of. Plenty of activities and a bunch of places to eat, drink, swim, relax and enjoy ourselves. Special thanks to Malcom and his entire team for bending over backwards to make sure our vacation was relaxing and enjoyable. Hope to be back in 2025!

Wedding at Jaguar Reef I have visited Jaguar Reef many times but this most recent time was for my wedding! Loved this resort so much I had to have my wedding there. All of the staff at Jaguar are very sweet and hardworking. They made sure to create the wedding of my dreams. Kimera did an awesome job with the set up of my wedding and was sure to capture every detail of my special day. The floral arrangements were stunning as well as the reception and ceremony! The food is delicious and the variety of cocktails they have available were great. Big shoutout to everyone at Jaguar for making this one of the most memorable trips in my life. I was also fortunate enough to be able to work with a local photographer, videographer, makeup artists, and DJ who all exceeded my expectations! I mean everyone was truly truly amazing. I am forever grateful to all of the work that was put in to my special day. Jaguar will always have a piece of my heart and I can say they have become a second family to me. Thank you Roberto, Kimera, and staff for making my wedding dream come to life. Much love to you all there and can’t wait to come back! I LOVE JAGUAR REEF! And shoutout to captain larry for his kind words and contagious smile. Really awesome time here♥️

Beautiful Place Stayed at Jaguar Reef for a week in late June 2024. Beautiful suite, beautiful resort. Cool, clean, modern and well kept. Housekeeping was available whenever we asked and the front desk staff were great. As an aside, The Colonial and Almond adjoin Jaguar Reef - so common areas and pools shared amongst the three properties. Not a big deal at all, just interesting. Came with our family (2 kids: 14/11). Kids loved the big dock rope swing, parents loved the big dock ceviche. The pizza shop was pretty decent, as was paddle house. We ate at the paddle house a few times, but found ourselves at other nearby locations often as well. The staff was super friendly; Victor was our driver for one trip to the airport as well as the tour guide for our Myan ruins tour (make sure he takes you to Benny’s Kitchen- this was the best and most authentic meal we had during our stay). And seriously someone give captain Larry a raise- he is something special. We struggled to connect with the concierge a few times but overall they booked our transportation to and from the airport, as well as our Myan Ruins tour. A few things to note- the beach was not always the best looking - lots of ocean debris- from seaweed to trash. Nothing the resort could do, (although the debris seems to be just raked back into the water by each resort down the beach …an interesting yet relatively ineffective approach) but it’s just disheartening to see styrofoam/plastic sitting on the beach in such an amazing setting. Again; not the resorts fault, just a note about the area. As a family we could have used some “lawn games” shuffleboard, bacci, or even corn hole would have been great for the kids. We had a few minor issues with our suite which were promptly fixed, and did not impact us at all; just quirky little snags, handled with grace. We used the kayaks and paddle boards almost daily, borrowed the bikes once. We rented our golf carts from Scalawags for a couple of short excursions into town - we were encouraged to do so by the resort. And go to Fi We Mart- biggest and cleanest of all the local groceries; the resort also directed us to Happy Go Luckie tours for our scuba. Overall a great experience and we miss Belize already!
