Superb location, amazing food Stayed here only for a night, loved the location. It’s right on the Darling Harbour, we enjoyed a late night walk on the bridge. The location was so good, that during the day we explored so many things by foot. About the hotel & amenities - We paid a little extra and got the room upgraded to the suite room, which was very spacious for us (especially with a 10 year old). We got a living & dining space along with the separate bedroom , lot of closets, a bathtub in the bathroom. We invited friends over in the evening and took them for dinner in the restaurant. The closing time was 9:30 PM, so we managed our timings and were there by 9:25. But the kitchen was already closed at 9 PM and they did not take any order. So, we all got disappointed and went to the room, ordered from the In-room dining menu (very limited options) which was very inconvenient. The information could have been given clearly, that the “kitchen closes at 9 PM”, rather than the “Restaurant closes at 9:30 PM” The next morning, we skipped the buffet, had A-la-carte at The Ternary (the same one which got closed early last night). During our 1 day stay, we had all major 3 meals here, food is amazing. Otherwise, our stay, location, hotel ambiance, staff & amenities were all very good.

Short yet good stay in Sydney I stayed at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour in October last year for a work trip. The room, basic amenities, and service were very good. Breakfast buffet was nice with lots of options, including healthy ones. The hotel location is very accessible, too.

Great location. Some improvements required. Great location. Located at Darling Harbour and walking distance to ICC and other attractions. Room is spacious and clean. But need to improve on the bathroom ie low water pressure, shower head. Limited breakfast choices and should improve on varieties of pastries and fruits. Didn’t use the hotel facilities. Unable to comment on that. Overall comfortable stay. P/S: there are few Novotel inside Sydney, one might mistaken with Novotel Darling Square. #novotel #darlingharbour #sydney #city #newsouthwales #australia #hotel #stay #travel

Average for the price Wow very expensive for what you get, 3 star at best, no hot water for our stay, noisy construction adjacent, room was out dated, check in and check out was very time consuming and long, one staff member on during peak periods at 1500 is not good enough, bathroom needed major repairs, breakfast was great, location was great. Definitely not worth the nightly price.

Welcome to the 1990's This hotel needs an upgrade. Cleaners do a good job but that carpet, the decor and even the TV have definitely seen better days. Apparently all accor are committed to sustainability and the environment, but when you check in, reception almost look at you like you're a crazy person for using public transport. In fact our receptionist was so busy delivering his sermon on how we should have driven to the hotel that he forgot to give us our complimentary welcome drinks vouchers. I booked this place and others during my trip to Australia out of brand loyalty but places like this are making me think twice. Novotel is supposed to be one below luxury - the premium end of the scale. But this hotel was anything but premium. I struggle to imagine what the difference between this and the nearby ibis would be. More importantly, with competition from Marriott, Hilton and others all now offering premium outings, what is the point of this place?
