Best Western Plus Palm Court Hotel

Nice first of many visits to Davis, CA - Best Western Plus Palm Court Hotel Great location, friendly BW hotel team and delicious restaurant. Our room was clean and perfect for 3 family members. I would recommend as a new UC Davis parent. We will be visiting again in November and I am sure other times throughout the school year.

Tranquil, Friendly Atmosphere My first business trip of the year was made all the better by the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Quiet location and beautiful room.

It's fine, but nothing extraordinary I had a decent time at this location, but that was primarily because I was only really in the room to sleep. It's really loud. There are restaurants right downstairs and one (maybe more than one, but one that I noticed) had a bar, so it was pretty hard to get my 9 year old to sleep until way later than usual. Not a huge deal since it was only 2 nights, but threw off our schedule a bit. There was also no microwave, which I didn't even think about until I was there and had no way to heat up some food. Also, not a huge deal, but unexpected as we stay at hotels with some regularity and typically have a fridge and microwave available so I didn't even consider that when grabbing some things to eat at a grocery store to avoid spending tons on restaurant food over the course of a few days. Additionally, if you're looking to have any kind of view, this is not the place. I didn't figure that in to my rating because we were barely even in the room other than to sleep, but the only view was of the roof of the building next door. You really couldn't see much of anything at all other than the roof and the blinding sun first thing in the morning (luckily the curtains are good, but don't open them too quickly lest you burn out your retinas). That said, the location is great if you want to be within walking distance to virtually everything and everything is clean and well-maintained. They also have a decent covered parking area in an area where parking is REALLY hard to come by. If you're just looking for a clean place to catch some ZZZs and park your car without having to deal with the street parking in the area, it's a good choice, but really isn't anything spectacular.

Nice enough but too noisy Nice enough hotel with a very nice staff. Off street parking is tight, but free. Front desk people were great and the lobbies are attractive. The room was a bit tired and could have been cleaner - the walls and doors had some marks and grime. For the cost I expected something a bit nicer. I’m not sure what made our rooms “suite.” It was two beds with a sofa. I expected a separate sleeping area. The main reason I gave it three stars was noise. We could hear people talking loudly in the next room late into the night and were awakened by people shrieking on the street outside at 3 am. Additionally, our room was directly over the kitchen of the restaurant downstairs. They started banging things around at 5 am, waking us up again. I would probably stay there again, but only if I could have a third floor room.

Fabulous location, big comfortable rooms Big spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The furniture is dated, but the bed and linens are comfortable. The problem here is the noise! There is a restaurant downstairs and dumpsters next to the building where they pick up garbage and recycling starting before 6am. I asked for a quiet room, and was on the street next to the dumpsters. I can't imagine what the non-quiet rooms are like!!! The room was adequately cleaned and the staff was fine, but I was there over a holiday so might be the B team working. The location is top notch, walking distance to everything you might want in Davis. The restaurant attached to the hotel is top-notch
