Holiday Inn & Suites Daytona Beach on the Ocean by IHG

Mr.& Mrs. B Pro’s Customer service was excellent (overall). The room was spacious, clean. Stocked with all the necessities, good tv channels. What you didn’t have and you needed just call front desk. Breakfast was delicious and service superb thanks to the Waitress/Hostess Debra,Kimberly and the Cook Clarice. Pool area and pool stayed clean. Played corn hole. Con’s Rooms could be updated as far as color, carpet in rooms and hallway. Hand held shower head. We couldn’t enjoy balcony due to pigeons on the balcony. Balcony need to be kept clean and free of pigeons. Other than the balcony problem would stay again. PS- Bring beach chairs or you will have to rent them once your on the beach .

Lunch Experience Family and I had lunch at the hotel restaurant mid afternoon. We were cheerfully greeted and seated promptly, no wait for a table. Our server, Debra, was awesome in every way! Our meals and desserts were delicious and a good value. Highly recommended!

Needs a little T&C..Just OK if on a budget Honestly I am not sure how some of these reviews are commenting on the bar as there poolside bar was not open on the weekend 6/28-6/30, disappointing as I was looking forward to mingling at night once kids were down. The firepits were off and there was no attendant on site for beverages even during the day. The breakfast offered was a lackluster, same menu all days (dried pancakes, eggs, sausage/bacon, and toast) and a small cereal option. I could get a better breakfast at McDonald's for $12!! Complimentary coffee is only offered in the morning, as opposed to most hotels that offer it all day long. We opted to have breakfast elsewhere at IHOP down the road. The hotel is very dated and the carpets are in dire need of cleaning, they looked really dirty and worn out. We stayed on the 2nd floor facing the street and the room was quiet and well kept besides the old carpeting and dated bathrooms. Housekeeping were very friendly and provided towel replacements as we opted for no cleaning. I also learned they charge $9 for parking each day, which to me I feel it should be included in the stay. Also disappointing the rooms did not have a microwave (only mini fridge), would have been convenient to have one for quick meals. I do like that the hotel was located within walking distance to many restaurants and night life /bars in the area on Seabreeze Ave as well as the Pier (if you enjoy walking, otherwise it's about a 5 minute drive). We enjoyed the beach and appreciated they were lifeguards on duty that weekend. The check in process was great but the lady that checked me in charged the wrong credit card even after I provided a different card at check-in, had to call multiple times to get it corrected, finally got a hold of a manager, Chris Hucks who quickly rectified the issue! Thanks for your excellent customer service Chris!!

Best Staff I travel around the country and this hotel has the best front-line staff ever including Kimberly, Susan, Aimee, and Debra in restaurant, all the Front Desk people. Clarice great chef. And Dave in Maintenance was great help. Also AGM Chris is great. Sorry I've forgotten some names. Older building but hopefully upcoming renovation will be able to speed up elevators and especially restore the Fire Pits as they are now candle pits.

Susan was AWSOME as bartender, waitress and server On Father's day 6/16/24 the bar was packed all afternoon with people wanting drinks and food inside and out and Susan was working solo with no help. The poor lady everytime she went to make a drink she was out. I witnessed the person leave her without stocking. She wad amazing and never missed a beat. Awsome job Susan and thanks for making my husband's Father's day great
