Nautilus Inn

Don’t waste your money for ocean view I paid for an ocean view room. My view was an ugly building beside the Nautilus Inn and near the road. Loud outside with the road noise. Place inside was clean but they basically don’t care if you have paid the same as the person who actually has a nice view. No value for our money spent. Old coffee makers in room. Sunday morning maid service said no new towels. We don’t service on Sundays. Go to the front desk.

Wonderful Experience Nice clean room and friendly people working there. Always a pleasure to stay at Nautilus Inn. I will definitely be back again. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Beautiful views from the balcony and always a pleasure to stay there._

Beautiful view! Friendly staff! Great view! Friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms with plenty of space! We had 2 queens and a couch, in addition to a full kitchen. There’s a large outdoor space by the pool with umbrella tables and chairs. The hotel is right on the beach. We will definitely stay again!

No need to look anywhere else The beds are extremely comfortable, the ocean front rooms have balconies, the grounds where the pool and hot tub are located are lovely. They are ample chaise lounges and tables with chairs and umbrellas on the patio. Easy access to the beach. The rooms are large with full kitchens.

Nice hotel, but inadequate security Although this beach front hotel is clean, friendly and in an ideal location, its security is terrible. Although room keys are the newer magnetic strip type (unmarked), the room safe I had is the old-style, which uses an unmarked key with which each guest is provided and uses to access the individual room safe. Access to the property from the beach is through a locked gate, which requires a guest’s room key to access. I was asked to avoid losing the key to the safe, and was told it would be costly to replace. Wanting to enjoy the beach, I left the unmarked safe key under my towel on a patio table within confines of the property (yes, that was a bit naive), although I took the room key with me so I could unlock the gate when I returned. When I returned, the gate to the property was left open, and my towel and safe key were gone. The maintenance person was friendly and prompt in replacing the lock on the safe, although it took over an hour to be accomplished. I was told beforehand I’d be charged $25 for having the work done. I’ll take responsibility for not taking the safe key along with me. But I am not responsible for maintaining a reasonable level of security for the property and its guests. Perhaps this hotel might consider updating its room safes. I would’ve given this hotel the highest marks possible, but this situation pretty much ruined what would’ve otherwise been an overall pleasant 4-day experience. And for it to happen on the last day of my stay makes it an experience I will never forget, and don’t want to repeat.
