First stay/Last stay Upon entering the hotel, I immediately knew that there would be issues. Noone was at the front desk. Apparently, he was back there but off to the side and could not be seen. He was nice and polite but there was no eye contact. The hotel was also dated. The 4 issues I had with the room: After entering the room I had trouble closing the door. I had to lift it up in order to close it. Next, I noticed one of the beds looked like it had been slept in (wasn't made up). After inspecting the bed I noticed the bed sheet had something light pink on it. Lastly, I did not like the curtains, they would not close completely. Although, there was another bed in the room, I was turned off and decided to sleep in a chair instead. The manager did offer me half off my next stay, and an upgrade. However, I do not see myself going back, I just did not like the overall vibe of the place.

Good location, good night's sleep We stayed on a Saturday night. We parked in the front for security reasons, but the entire area seemed safe enough. Place was clean and tidy inside and out. Our room had fluffy pillows and mattresses (we had two queen beds) second only to our bed at home. Maid showed us how to operate the shower. (Pull down the device on the underside of the spigot.) Pool was an unadvertised treat. It was cold at first but our swimmer warmed up pretty quickly. Breakfast was offered, but we didn't investigate. Location: [1] Excellent location to go to Henry Ford Museum and/or Greenfield Village. NancyDPA noted in her review that they are "practically in the backyard of the hotel." We went to Greenfield Village. If we'd been going to both on consecutive days we would have stayed two nights. [2] Very good location for finding a house of worship to the west, with many only minutes away. TIP: When exiting DO NOT try to make a left turn. One of us ignored the honking from behind, started heading west and had to make a quick U turn to go WITH traffic.

It was good enough The rooms were comfortable enough with comfortable beds and seem to be clean. The hotel itself was a little worn looking. The carpet in the hallways were dirty and torn, and the cleanliness of the lobby and elevators needed attention. It was close to the Henry Ford Museum, and Greenfield Village.

Good location We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the Henry Ford, which is practically in the backyard of the hotel. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, the hotel itself is very dingy and in need of a serious upgrade. The tile floors need to be scrubbed and the carpet in the hallways was very worn and torn in several places. There were a minimal amount of amenties in the room, although it was stocked with a lot of plastic cups. The breakfast was okay, but by the time I got there, the coffee was empty. There are a lot of restaurants within a mile of the hotel, but none that are within walking distance. For the price, we probably could have got something a lot nicer, but a little farther away.

I'm glad the train station nearby helped get me away quickly -- you should avoid this hotel There are far, FAR better options than this. Every part of this experience was bad. The check-in was slow. Then after getting my room keys, each time I used them it required 4-5 tries before it'd open the door. Once I got into the room, it was just dingy and felt dirty. Pillows had small stains on the cases, the carpet was weird damp, and whoever last "cleaned" the room forgot to leave towels in the room. I tried using the fitness center, but the elliptical was broken, there were no towels in there, and overall just bad equipment in a small space. Didn't look at the pool, but other reviews would track given how bad this place is. Finally, the wifi was atrocious. Why are there 10 different networks?! (ComfortInn1,2,3...etc.) it's just confusing. Once you get connected it's slow and barely functional; at some point I just switched over to my hotspot. I'm just glad I only had to stay for one night. I ran out before breakfast, so can't comment on that. The only redeeming quality was that it's only a few minutes down the street from the Amtrak station; handy with an early 6:30am train to catch. Best part -- the train took me away from this hotel. You can do better nearby, and similar price points. $145 for the one night...awful.
