Red Roof Inn Detroit - Dearborn/Greenfield Village

Will not stay with red roof again The first room we was assigned . The tub had hair all in and all over it , the bed had drains , the top dresser drawer was gone totally , second drawer had women’s underwear in it . Smell like smoke . Place was run down and out dated. Floor wasn’t clean well either . They did assign us a different room , a little better but not by much , the second drawer of dresser had dirty towels in it and smell line smoke really bad . Very run down hotel . Staff was very nice and pleasant to us is only good thing . This is 4 time we have stay with red roof in and last . They all are run down and smells like smoke .

Ick! The motel was not well kept with structural damage. The staff was not overly friendly. The room was dank and I didn't get the feeling is was well cleaned. There were old fixtures on the walls that were dirty and should have been removed. The mattress still had the shipping plastic on it with no mattress pad. (I had to put a towel under the sheet so I wouldn't sweat from sleeping in the plastic under the sheet.) The rusty desk lamp was missing the lampshade. I was able to use Redi points for the stay. Unfortunately, it was a waste of Redi points.

Absolutely disgusting This place is absolutely disgusting. The showers are dirty looking with stains, the shower curtains have orange on the bottom of them from staining. The sheets are absolutely disgusting. The room smells of weed and old smoke or animal odors. The outside you can usually find bags and bags of trash sitting, the dirty sheet baskets sit outside where you have to walk by them every time you go out. There are bed bugs in some of the rooms. I didn't experience anything but my daughter and her son got ate up and the doctor said it was bed bugs, we then found one in our luggage when unpacking. There is fleas in the rooms. The air conditioner filter had not been cleaned in months possibly years, it was absolutely disgusting. I thought that this was most likely a red roof standard, but upon traveling back home and stopping at a different red roof location it was absolutely beautiful and very clean. This is a management issue at this particular location

Very economical place to stay if going to Ford Museum We stayed here for 2 nights. As we came to the Ford museum and Greenfield village. This was a great place to stay. Very reasonably priced and a basic room. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was nice in that the shower and toilet were separated from the sink. This is always good when you have more than one traveler. There was a nice desk and television. Close to the places to eat. Only about 5 to 7 minutes from the actual Ford museum. Very friendly. Staff made the stay very nice.

Red Roof Inn near Greenfield VIllage Fantastic location if you are going to Greenfield Village. Older facility but clean. Hard to find the first time since it's off an alley way. Leon's restaurant within walking distance had great breakfast specials.
