Not worthy of the Hilton name. Do NOT book at this hotel! It is a dump and not worthy of the Hilton name. We were there just shy of a week and had NO air conditioning. In July!!!!! It was miserable. They tried to fix it twice and then told us. Sorry. It’s just an old hotel. It won’t work. Not even kidding. There were rust stains in the shower. The toilet broke three times. Barely flushed. While the staff was very apologetic and nice, I emailed the GM and he never even bothered to get back to me!!! Ever. Have never been so disappointed is a Hilton and had a hotel ruin my vacation as much as this trip

Be aware prior to booking this hotel! We were charged a "security deposit" for a 1 night stay. Crazy since you have to use credit card to check in...The front desk manager didn't have a good reason to charge a Diamond Hilton member this fee. We go to our room and the carpet has large rips and bare to the sub-floor. Also there was some trash on the floor from the previous guest. i went to the front desk at 5:15 on a Sunday evening and reported the room damage that we discovered. I asked to talk to the Front Desk Manager. She saw me through the open door and when the Front Desk Associate came back from getting her, he advised that she was "in a meeting". I shook my head. Sunday at 5:15 meeting. hmm. We simply wanted a new room. I gave up. We stayed the night. in the morning I did talk to the Fron Desk Manager. I repeated the incident. She told me she was on the phone. At the end of this stay I did defer to the Hilton guarantee. They did honor it. However if the management of this hotel would have talked to me and switched my room this situation would have been resolved. Dirty room. Damaged room. Unresponsive Leadership. Not a well run hotel

Effective But Dated Stayed here for a couple of days. First off, the location is convenient, right off 95, and easy access to public transit, Legacy Place, and in to Dedham. Plenty of parking, both open air and deck parking. Checked in and selected my room in the app. I did not know ahead of time that this property doesn't have Digital Key, so I had to check in at the front desk. When I showed up, had to wait a bit for someone to show up despite there being someone who seemed to be in management standing right in front of me. No greeting, no help. Got checked in to my room. While the bathroom has been updated, the room in general feels dated. Bed and pillows somehow were both too firm and had too much sink. Not my favorite but it worked. Room had plenty of space, TV and desk area were good. Housekeeping was very attentive. The gym at this property is fantastic. Plenty of cardio machines, and good resistance machines. Wasn't too busy any of the times I was there. Unfortunately the pool was closed during my stay, I wish that had been noted on the listing before booking. The Bar/Restaurant at this property is severely lacking, or at least was during my stay. My first night I tried to sit at the bar and have a beer. There were two people behind the bar, neither of whom could understand what I was asking for or give me a drink. I wound up leaving and going somewhere else. The next night, I gave them another shot, and it was a bit better. There was one employee, Edwin, who was responsible for bartending, serving, running food, and training a new employee. Because of this, service was unbelievably slow. It definitely wasn't his fault, but it was frustrating. There are 8+ beer taps at this property but only 2 were kegged or functioning during my stay, and everything just felt ramshackle. The Hilton in Dedham is effective but dated. But the real issue seems to be with management. Outside of housekeeping, the property just feels understaffed and not delivering on offerings. I will likely stay here again, because it is the most convenient location, but honestly, just kind of bummed after this stay.

Adequate but in decline For a bit of context, I lived in Dedham, MA for a number of years and have defaulted to the Hilton Boston / Dedham on several trips to visit family and friends. As others have noted, the hotel is ideally located near the highway and MBTA commuter rail, and it is quiet. These are strong attributes. However, the hotel is growing progressively worn around the edges and lacking in service. The rugs in the hallways are frayed and tired. While the showers in the bathrooms have been upgraded, the bathrooms themselves are uneven in appearance. Trash is often left for a long period before being picked up, contributing to the overall worn look. Even the gym -- once a big draw -- has shrunk in size. Beyond the front desk, service is uneven. We asked twice to have a waste can emptied in our room, to no avail. On Sunday evening, we considered eating at the restaurant in the lobby level instead of going to nearby Legacy Place. The staff in the restaurant came across as weary, and the paper menus were wrinkled and stained. We chose Legacy Place. Little things matter. I appreciate that the Hilton brand is solid, not spectacular. And I'm a long-time Hilton loyalist who enjoys using points to help defray the cost of travel, particularly for summer family vacations. Going forward, however, I will look elsewhere.

Stayed here while visiting Boston Came to town to watch the marathon-- this hotel was reasonably priced unlike those inside the city. It's about a 30 minute drive into town with traffic, just FYI. I was able to check in a couple hours early, which was nice after an early morning of travel. Unlike other reviews, I was pleased with my room and didn't find it to be outdated or tired. Biggest issue is the walls are THIN. There are signs all over the hotel that mention quiet hours in the evening. I now know this is because you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls, even just people going down the hallways and opening/closing their room doors. So bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper. FYI in-house buffet breakfast at the restaurant was $18 a person. Not worth it unless you're in a pinch (but there aren't too many other options in the immediate area). It's a three star place as Hiltons go, but I gave it a four because it's definitely above your average budget hotel chain.
