Nonrefundable Even Due to Covid I had a positive Covid-19 test result for my 5 year old. I canceled my reservation and Westin refused a refund. I escalated to a manager, who also refused a refund because my "pre-paid rate was nonrefundable, Covid has been around for a year, this is the risk you take." Way to show some empathy, Westin. We did everything right but 5 year olds aren't eligible for the vaccine! Refusing to refund my hotel makes a horrid situation worse. Delta and the rental car agency both refunded/gave credit back with no problem. I went back through my confirmation email and nowhere in there does it say my reservation is nonrefundable AT ALL, let alone for Covid. Even if that verbiage were easily accessible, that is the worst policy. On the Marriott website I finally found verbiage stating at the very bottom in tiny letters: "For guests with reservations made on or after July 6, 2020, for arrival dates through August 31, 2021, we will allow the reservation to be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled arrival date. Reservations with pre-paid rates and other limited exclusions* will be subject to the rate offer rules communicated at the time of reservation." My reservation was pre-paid. I am extremely unhappy and would not recommend the Westin. Every other travel business makes canceling easy in these uncertain times. I suggest you find a different hotel that does the same.

Very Nice hotel at Delta terminal Lovely hotel, comfy bed, very nice employees. Room was too warm so they sent someone immediately to fix it. Picked this hotel because we had an early flight since it was at the airport. The only problem is they have 2 terminals and our flight was out of the other terminal so we had to catch a shuttle. They run continuously so it was no problem. Nice room, clean and would stay there again!

Nice airport hotel This hotel is located in the Delta terminal of the Detroit airport. The rooms are nice - quite comfortable. I appreciated the feather pillows! It was very quiet considering it’s location. I never heard a plane the whole stay. Front desk staff was helpful and accommodating.

The perfect "stay, park, and fly" option The room was comfortable and classy. The check-in process was fast and smooth. The hotel is SUPER convenient for travelers using McNamara Terminal, especially as it pertains to the Security Checkpoint located inside of the hotel. My only complaint relates to the valet experience; no one was there to help with valet parking when we arrived.

Zero food options, poor service Zero food options late. Had cancelled flight, booked at Westin, lobby was busy, went to Reflections restaurant. Place was packed, and there was a small line ordering to go. Waiter came out from back and said “We’re behind so you’re better going up to your rooms to order.” Asked him if room service was same menu and he said yes. Went up to room to order online, but order wouldn’t process. It appears the “all day dining” closes at 11pm, same as the restaurant. The waiter pushed us away knowing he could close soon, also knowing room service would close too. Contacted front desk who said gift shop has sandwiches. Went to gift shop, sandwiches sold out. Zero food options available. Airport was closed by now,,unable to get back into terminal, so no food unti morning for Westin. Ruined stay. Advise you stay elsewhere if you havent eaten or expect no food all night from this hotel.
