A little too expensive for my taste While traveling cross country with our dogs amid the covid crisis and the recent wind storm through Iowa, we stopped here on a Friday night. Found the check in person pleasant, microfridge in and pretty decent room. Also found non existent WI-FI (room 107 - back & bottom). Ice is given out by office personnel. $50 pet deposit required for us. I was not impressed with this motel 6. No, I personally do not recommend this establishment. Very poor value for the money (my opinion)

Messed room We arrived last Saturday night with a messed bed, microwave and the room smells cigarette. I asked the front desk and informed me that he can give us a refund and can go somewhere else. We were sadden with his response, it's already late at night and we are already tired and still he still have a guts to said that. He also verbalized that we are lucky we have one room available for us. Then, he went to our room and examined and sprayed. Hope this is the last time how rude your treatment on your customers when they left without choice.

Downtrodden Front desk staff nice although rarely behind the desk. The area where the coffee and ice machine was looked terrible. The light was broken and remained so for days. The basket with stirrers, etc. was not maintained or cared for. Hot water not freely available. Room floors dirty upon check in.

Good value Basic Motel, clean and good value for money. No frills but for $55 its fine. V good Mexican restaurant next door and a decent sports bar behind the motel. About 5 min drive to downtown and to Clarke college campus.

Horrible I realize Motel 6 is a cheap place to stay, but we just needed a room for one night and I couldn't stand to be in our "non smoking" room for 2 min. It reeked of stale smoke and mildew. We hightailed it back to the front desk for a refund.
