Stolen belongings from suitcase in room. We stayed here for three nights for a wedding in the local area. We had four rooms booked and unfortunately had a costly Fendi bracelet stolen from one of the suitcases, which was zipped in the room. After complaining and speaking to management several times, the response was "There is nothing we can do- we have checked the cameras" There are no cameras in the rooms (Obviously) so I am not sure what camera has been checked and what this even means... I have never had any belongings stolen from a hotel.. This was a gift from my daughter and the hotel has not been helpful or even tried to compensate or provide any compassion in the matter. Furthermore, the hotel is ancient.. Has no AC's . TV's are temperamental and housekeeping turns up at 8AM?

Noisy outside, noisy inside Not a good experience this time. The room was overlooking the waterfront. The room was hot & stuffy so I opened the windows. Friday night was noisy with revellers and very noisy after midnight. After I had to closed the windows the next room (214) the people were arguing at 1.30am. She was ranting. It went on and on. I called reception and they sent somebody up who spoke to them. Unfortunately after a while there were more noises. This time it was shouts of passion and a knocking headboard against the wall. Paper thin partion walls and the ignorant couple next door ruined the stay completely. We didn't stay for breakfast and left as soon as we could and probably NEVER to return again.

Good place to stay with families A lovely hotel with friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant which had good food and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, airy and lovely. Very hot because not air con but there was a machine in the room but it was noisy. Apart from that an amazing place and highly recommend.

Mixed reviews, do not have breakfast! The reception and bar staff were lovely and accomodating. However,we did have to ask for several things including hand wash that hadn't been filled up in the room. Also was missing shower gel, but unfortunately only found that out when having a shower. Breakfast was a joke and I'm glad we didn't pay extra for it but completely inedible, staff there didn't seem to care and made excuses. Waited 15 minutes for an overcooked poached egg and all the food had ben under the heat lamp for way too long. They do temperature checks but you still need to consider the quality of the food. Have included a picture of the fresh bacon versus the bacon we were first offered, apparently it's dry because it was at the bottom with the juices?!!! The hotel also desperately needs air conditioning, we luckily had brought our own fan.

Great food and value. Thank goodness for the pool! The staff in reception were very helpful and friendly , very quick check in. We had a lovely Art Deco themed room overlooking the waterfront/canal. The room was large and spotless , good standard of tea/coffee tray , lots of fluffy towels and a very comfortable bed. Piping hot water in the shower at any time of the day. The pool was a godsend on the 2 hottest days of the year , not crowded and very relaxing. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of hot/cold choices , again the staff were very friendly. Plenty of on site parking. Very convenient to walk to the waterfront where there plenty of pubs, restaurats and shops. We have stayed here before and will stay again .
