Horrible hotel experience. Unclean room, put a hold on my credit card when my employer had already paid. Awful. I had a terrible experience at this hotel. When I arrived they placed a $381 hold on my credit card. I found out later that day it was because they had not processed the payment for the room from my employer. I’m still waiting for the hold to be released. The blind in the room did not work. And even though I asked several times no one came to fix it so my room had no sunlight. The phone, table, chairs were sticky. Disgusting. So I used my own disinfectant to wipe them down. To get to/from your car you took an elevator from you room to the lobby, then walked across and took another elevator to your car. The door handles to that area were broken and felt unclean. The elevator had a mind of its own. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Will not be staying there again.

Very poor experience and dated hotel I had an incredibly disappointing stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth Downtown. The main issue was the lock on my door, which completely malfunctioned, leaving me locked out for an entire night. Despite my repeated attempts, I couldn’t open the door from the outside. The situation was so dire that the hotel had to call in a maintenance guy in the middle of the night to let me in. Adding to the frustration, there were no other rooms available to accommodate us. The overall condition of the hotel is severely lacking. It’s old and desperately in need of renovation. The bathtub in our room didn’t drain properly, causing water to pool up, which was both inconvenient and unsanitary. The rooms were uncomfortably hot, humid, and had a musty smell that was hard to ignore. Given the high price tag, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, the outdated facilities and the significant inconvenience of being locked out all night made this stay absolutely not worth it. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodations in Duluth.

SIMPLY TERRIBLE This is a simply terrible facility. It reeks of age - not elegant age, but decaying age. The rooms smell. The bathrooms are tiny. The pain is chipped . If you are unlucky enough to get a room facing the indoor pool, the room is like a cave - no exterior light. The mattress needed replacement years ago.

Comfortable and convenient This property is clean and equipped with pools on 2 different levels. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food was very good. Our beds were comfortable and I appreciate a bathtub I can soak in. This hotel is connected to a skywalk which I would really appreciate in winter. The public library is a few blocks walk, as is the transit center.

Trash Rooms were outdated and not clean. No coffee. They literally removed it from the spot in the lobby just felt very dark and dirty. No real entrance, only through the parking ramp. A dumb design for walking through the city. Crack heads smoking near the doors and entrances. And felt unsafe the whole time. Don't stay here. Better places in duluth.
