Happy staff make happy customers The difference between good and great are the staff who made the whole experience very enjoyable… They were all excellent, cheery and looked as if they were enjoying their work … a well situated nice hotel with a boost of personality applied by its fantastic staff..

Really disappointed, disgusting dirty The receptionist upon arrival made us feel very unwelcome and an inconvenience. The decor is dated, which is something that can be tolerated, but not when it is filthy . Our room was absolutely filthy, general thick dust on the doors and skirting boards and bathroom fan. The curtains and nets were all stained and yellow. There were splashes of dirt all over the wall. The bathroom tiles were dirty and cracked. The bathroom mat was covered in mould and the previous occupants rubbish was left on the floor next to the bin.

Overall experience at BW Keavil House at Dunfermline. Very good overall. Spa facilities mostly all available (no sauna). Room was spot on. Breakfast was disappointing. Cold plates is not a good start and having to wait for buffet service is not on either. Tea/coffee/milk brought to the table but you had to go look for sugar and so it goes on. Simple things in themselves but annoying when all you want to do is sit down and eat breakfast.

Disappointing Bedroom: large room, large comfortable bed. Bathroom: the first thing that struck me was the awful smell from the dirty shower curtain!! The shower was over the bath with NO grab rails to aid elderly/disabled guests. Dining: No tablecloths on the sticky, scratched tables. Crockery and cutlery not very clean. Young serving staff were all excellent, friendly and attentive. Plenty of choice for breakfast, acceptable evening meal.

Our stay in Edinburgh, Scotland The hotel has very nice surroundings and the location is just 35 minutes out of Edinburgh, Scotland. The room is just a standard room type but the hotel has a very good sport facilities. The restaurant is also very good and the taste is great..We had the soup and fish and chips, the taste is very good...Lucy, the waitress in the restaurant is very friendly and smiles a lot serving the guests. Will come back there when visiting Edinburgh, Scotland
