Great lodging in Syracuse, NY This Embassy Suites is a perfect place to stay while in Syracuse and area. The hotel has been fully renovated and the pictures on the Hilton website are an accurate representation of what you will see when you arrive. Great location and plenty of free parking. The cooked-to-order breakfast and evening cocktail reception are well worth a visit. What impressed us the most was the staff at the hotel. We were always made to feel welcome and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The suites are nicely decorated and the one we had showed no wear and tear, everything was well maintained and very clean. Good job Embassy Suites on Old Collamer Road, DeWitt (adjacent to Syracuse and easy access to all major routes)!

Less than I expect from Embassy Suites. Pretty easy to get to from the airport. Plenty of free parking and not busy at all...probably 8 cars in the lot when I got there. Building is well maintained, inside and out. Not much landscaping but very well maintained exterior. Interior lobby and atrium are beautifully decorated and clean. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Bartender was personable. No other interactions with staff. Room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. No desk. No guide or program information on the TV so you have to surf. Bed was relatively comfortable and I slept well. Lacks a constant on option for the PTAC so I was surprised at the quality of sleep only because I usually don't sleep well without white noise and air moving. I was a little concerned at the freeway right outside the window but, as it is the New York Thruway, it was not heavily traveled so noise was not a problem. The presentation as having a restaurant is misleading. E'terie Restaurant & Bar is basically a lunch counter. No wait staff or table service. Plus it closed early on the 3rd and was closed the 4th. Interestingly, the 'daily' special was the same all three days I was there. Breakfast variety was great and fresh...though I had no desire to stand in line 20 minutes for an omelet so missed out on the 'made-to-order' part but there were plenty of other options. Surprisingly, no one collected dishes at all or wiped any of the tables, at least neither morning I was there. You take your dishes up like you're in a school cafeteria. No attendant the first morning. There was an attendant the second morning but all she did was check your card to make sure you were legal. Even at the more 'basic' properties of this brand and others who offer breakfast there is someone clearing dishes and wiping tables. Bar closed 3 hours early the first night. Went down after unpacking to find it closed up tight at 7. Not open at all the second night. Evening manager's reception was non-existent the second night. They gave you a couple beer and a bag of chips from the Corner Pantry. Might be due to occupancy but that should have been made clear up front and the rate should have reflected to reduction in service. To my surprise, there is no business center. I saw a printer but no computer so I asked at the desk and they said I could just email whatever I wanted printed to them. Odd that they would think the only reason for a business center is to print something and not to do business. I was double charged but, after a couple calls, that got resolved a week later. I was surprised that, even though the rate was identical to the HHonors prepaid rate, I got no credit for this stay because it was booked through Kayak.

Terrible front desk. Desk greeting was non-existent. We were made to feel second class because it was a points visit. There was no acceptance that the points visit was made possible because I am a loyal Hilton customer. Breakfast not nearly as elaborate as it used to be. Room was fine but when we asked front desk if it faced the highway, we were told no. Room 513vwas a corner room with two exposures to the thruway and thus extremely noisy. When we checked out we mentioned that as an FYI and were snippily told by the front desk clerk (around 7am on July 28) that there wasn’t anything he could do because it was a points visit. All in all, customer service was terrible.

Disgusting rooms and lazy workers Highly disappointed with this hotel in Syracuse NY on Collamer Rd. On June 14th We checked in to a king suite, we opened the couch bed to literal poop smeared all over the mattress cover and some sort of loose debris. I called down to desk and they moved us to another room. This room was not much better, mold and spiderwebs everywhere however we had to get to where we were going so we settled. Next morning my bank account was drained by your charges, $618 for a room that cost $179/night. When I inquired I was told there was a $100/night incidental fee! I was NEVER told this at check in, the audacity to charge this when your rooms are beyond disgusting!!! My son was playing in a baseball tournament this weekend and we were now with NO money for food or our 2 hour travel home. We left your awful hotel, your staff is lazy and rude!!!
