AMAZING- MODERN AND CLEAN HOTEL I had reserved a room for three nights at the Econo Lodge down the street. It was after 2 1/2 hours of driving and being at the beach all day. They didn’t let you check in until 4 o’clock. Got to the Econolodge and the ceilings were falling and there was trash piled up outside, the door to my building didn’t lock. It was taped on. It reeked of mold. I feel really bad for the people who have to work there. They’re going to get sick from breathing in that mold. So I asked for a refund which they did give me and I drove down the street to the nearest gas station. I asked a gentleman where he recommended I should go. I drove up the highway a little bit and saw this magnificent hotel as I was driving. Pulled in and at very last minute, 5:00 PM, I was able to reserve a room for two nights. I absolutely love it here! From the lobby to the beautiful floors to the modern cool room. Night and day difference from the Econo Lodge. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money and treat yourself to a hotel like this. I was almost crying as I was speaking to the front desk lady as she was so kind. She really made the difference in welcoming me after going through all that. Because I thought I may have to drive home that night. They have a breakfast bar for $13.00. There was even a smart TV welcome screen that said my name in the room!

Poor Customer Service. Unwelcoming Rooms. Would Not Recommend. I'm a Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member and feel as Sheratons don't uphold the Marriott standard. The hotel has two buildings; we were sent to the 2-story side, and it felt like we were staying in a haunted hotel. It did not give a good vibe. We chose this hotel because it looked as if it had been recently renovated. (I believe it used to be a Best Western). The room decor was modern-ish, but you can still tell this is an older hotel. While the room was clean and good sized (we were upgraded to a larger room), housekeeping was not keeping the halls clean. It took almost four days for trash to be picked up in the halls. The room was very dark; it only had one tiny window. The opposite, taller side seemed to have bigger windows. We had an issue with a leak in our room, and we didn't have hot water for one day (two different occurrences, not related). Besides the eerie feeling the hotel gave us, the worst part was the customer service. I called the front desk 3 times to extend our stay (because of work), and they said they would speak to the owner and get back to us. This hotel is run as though it's an independent hotel, not a Marriott property. We made our bookings online, and when we extended our stay (through the website), the front desk charged us a different rate two different times. I had to show email confirmations to get them to change our bill. The hotel is right off the interstate but in an industrial type of area that is not inviting. I would not recommend staying here. I've stayed hundreds of nights in Marriotts, and I will never recommend nor stay here again.

Easy Access Location The room was very clean, the beds were comfy, and the fixtures were nice. The only thing I didn't like was the one light with a foot switch, which was hard operate because the switch was in a bad location and tended to be sideways. The halls were well lit. The front desk staff was friendly.

Location is the only thing going for this place. My wife was placed in this hotel during her training in the Cleveland area and our sons and I tagged along to see the sights. We did not select this hotel, it was appointed through her work and given the option we would not use this hotel again. First the good; the location of this hotel provides easy access to everything. A quick jump onto highway 2 allows a traveler access to everything you would want to see. The fitness room is decent, there are both free weights and treadmill and ellipticals. That’s about all for the good. The bad; the place is run down and very aged, there was no maid service (potentially due to Covid-19) but we weren’t told that until day 3 when we ran out of towels. The weekend night shift staff needs some serious customer service training! Affectionately referred to as the Red Menace due to the dye job on her hair, her temperament matched her color. I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member but am still uncertain if I’ll get my points for this stay, and feel bad about asking thanks to the butt chewing that was given. The breakfast consists of a snack bar and a juice, again got a growl when I took one of the sacks while Red was stocking them. Finally, the pool was closed. This was not brought to our attention until we checked in and we could not find it anywhere on the website so people traveling with children beware!

Keep driving Stayed one night and will not be back. The hotel has been updated, but it has quite a few underlying scars. Signs on door and front desk warn that tampering or removal of items is unlawful and that firearms are not allowed. Check in was easy and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, there was no microwave. I was informed that microwaves had been removed from all the rooms because people were setting off the fire alarm when popping corn etc. I was also advised that the steam from the shower could set off the alarm if the bathroom door wasn’t shut. Shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, but the shower drained so slowly that I had to cut the shower time short for fear of overflowing the shower basin. The bed was comfortable and clean. Power went off around 0530 am on street hotel was on. We left because room felt stuffy and hallway had a chemical or carpet glue smell. While taking our gear down the stairs discovered that emergency lights on part of the stairwell were out. The front desk staff here were pleasant and even offered to help get things down from 4 th floor if needed. The problems here have nothing to do with the front desk folks, but rather the underlying issues eg odors, marked walls, no microwaves, etc. Would not recommend at all!!!
