EXCELLENT Fanily experience. If you drive a BMW many bit. If you drive a Minivan this is the perfect place. ROOM was EXCELLENT Family experience. 4 Star experience at a 3 star hotel. SHawn will teach the family how to bass fish. Children and adults. Very patient amd kind man. He id property manager. We want to return soon. I'm disabled and my mom is elderly. SHawn will teach us all how to fish. Great BbQ in town nearby for dinner. They welcomed our sm lap dog, with the typical courtesy, pick up and keep dog on short leash. NOT ALine in the room. OF COURSE

Great stay! We were in the area for a friend's wedding and recommended to stay here-- so glad! Room was clean, beds were comfortable (especially the pillows). We liked the area down by the water, just to sit outside and relax. Breakfast was good with several selections (I enjoyed the grits!). The staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Family Vacation Staying at The Lodge on Lake Oconee was terrible. The room were not as expected smelled like damp dirty rug. I spotted a red smug on the comforter, then as I inspected further discovered other nasty unsettling blood stains, urine stains and other stains on the mattress, pillows as well as on the comforter. Their breakfast was a joke not appealing the hot items were cold and not tasty as well as the coffee. I’d never recommend The Lodge.

Believe all the bad reviews… it’s that bad. The only star was the lovely front desk manager, otherwise this hotel would deserve a zero rating. Absolutely the most tired, dirty, musty dump of a hotel. Believe the bad reviews. This hotel is atrocious. The windows don’t open and every space stinks of mold and mildew. They need to burn it down and start over… just awful.

One Night Stop After reading other reviews, we were not sure about staying here. We took a chance and stayed. The employees we encountered were very friendly. The breakfast was good. We had a King Lake view room. It is summer so there are leaves on the trees and our view was mostly blocked by the trees. Several people had complained about a mildew/mold type odor. There was definitely a smell but it was not mildew/mold. Probably something they use in cleaning. I had taken spray so we were good. The room was clean and the AC worked well. The walk way down to the lake was nice.
