Good Stay We had a nice stay at the TownePlace Suites. It was clean and had everything we needed with a kitchenette, full refrigerator and stove, dishes and even a dishwasher. it is a bit outdated, but everything is well maintained. We mentioned the vents looked as though they needed cleaning in our room and they were beyond grateful we mentioned it.

the least expensive Marriott product in the area, I guess you get what you pay for This was the least expensive Marriott product in the Twin Cities region and I guess you get what you pay for… The counter staff was friendly and helpful when I encountered them, but other than that, this property is to be avoided. To begin with, it is wood frame construction which results in a lot of noise, from upstairs, the hallway, it’s bad. As a low rent place, it seems to attract lower rent paying folks who burn food. Lots of food. The physical condition was lacking, I arrived to an ear ring in the sink and old, leftover pizza and soda in the fridge. The toilet tank leaked onto the bathroom floor and the hot water had been shut off in the kitchen. The door had sagged on its hinges so it scrapped and tore the carpeting at the threshold. While I noticed water on the inside of the windows earlier in my stay, it was in the last two days I saw the water coming in from around the frame of the window. (This is to say the windows themselves didn’t leak, they were poorly installed or poorly flashed.) I spoke to the front desk about getting a maintenance person to my room but no one ever showed up. The internet was terrible, poor wifi reception often cutting out. I burned through about 4-5 times my normal data usage due to this bad service. Likewise the satellite TV often pixelated and lost reception. It got worse during storms, but even in good weather it would happen. The garbage dumpster would frequently fill to overflowing, which you would think would trigger an increase in the frequency of emptying, but nope… The laundry rooms had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, but one dryer was broken and the other didn’t completely dry a moderate-sized load.

Outdated & Partying All Night Arrived at the TownPlace Suites about 7pm on a Saturday night. A large group (15 or so) was congregated on the side of the building, BBQ-ing and drinking. OK- fine at 7pm, though no one was social distancing or wearing masks, and it certainly wasn't family. Despite inclement weather coming through, the group continued on drinking not only through the evening, midnight, 1 am, 2 am... but until 5 am. They were extremely loud and ran up and down the stairwell which was adjacent to our room. Our family was traveling across the States and none of us (2 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs- who were on guard) slept very well, as you may imagine. It was shocking that management did not intervene for the ENTIRE night into early morning. Unacceptable. We stayed in a number of properties over the course of our trip across the States and this was by far the most out of date & in desperate need of some TLC. The grounds look terrible and the building not much better. The rooms were OK, but didn't warrant the price for what we paid or experienced. Kitchen was very understocked as well- we didn't even have enough cutlery for our entire family to eat at the same time.

Disappointing We got a suite there for the night of July 2nd. The bedrooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Light fixtures had not been cleaned in a long time, heating and cooling vents were very dirty. The grounds are terrible. Weeds are knee high in the closed pool area. Cigarette butts and trash litter the area. For 1 night and to meet with friends it worked. I would not stay there again.

An interesting stay I found this location to have a very interesting set up; consisting of two separate buildings, neither of which appear friendly to those with mobility challenges. Interesting you have to key into the hallway to your room from the lobby even though it is connected. I struggled with understand the staff working the front desk at check in. Was surprised by the flat $20 surcharge "for incidentals" made me photograph the condition and supplies in the room in case it it isn't refunded as promised. Found the staff member working I the morning exceptionally rude when I was informed that the public computer was for "business use only" in an extremely snippy tone of voice. If that is the policy, the signage needs to be improved to state this. She could of simply asked me to finish my business quickly because someone else needed to use it. I found the room comfortable but noisy. Lots of light leaked around the door. Could hear lots of hallway noise and the housekeeping that started before 7 am. I've stayed at other locations of this chair that where much more comfortable and welcoming.
