A Bait & Switch Hotel One of the most expensive hotels (~650/night) I've ever paid for that didn't have amenities like a Four Seasons. I will preface this by saying, Martha's Vineyard is just expensive, known fact. The marketing pictures for this hotel show another side of this property, it's nothing like what you experience. The property is very dated, starting with the entrances, the key fob's don't work with the system. The hallways are dark and gloomy with the carpet being very dated, dirty and unsightly. I got to my room and noticed a continuation of the run down, discolored carpet - it was so bad I didn't walk bare foot at all in the space. The sofa in the room was warn, sunken in and discolored. The bathroom was also very dated, shower head have seen better days. Also, the drainage was slow so I was in a puddle of my own water, throughout each shower experience. The shower curtain had stains throughout from previous visits. Also, lighting was non existent in the bathroom, creating a murky eerie feeling. An outlet next to the bed didn't work at all and made a sound almost like a spark being ignited, the whole time I was there. The bed was comfortable and plush with clean sheets and I was also happy that the room had a refrigerator. I was in a pinch for time and had to settle for this property, thinking it was a cut above, especially b/c it's on the Chase Sapphire luxury hotel collection. Wouldn't stay here ever again with the uncomfortable, dated unkempt amenities.

Too Good To Be True Me and the Family had a WONDERFUL weekend stay. Thank you Carlos for the exceptional care and attention. You really set us up for the Best Time Ever. Or in my 4 year old granddaughter's words, "My Favorite Place Ever." _.... We felt at home, even being over 2,000 miles away from our home in Texas. We were completely furnished, content and had no need to harass the front desk for anything. There's a full bar/ restaurant to the left and Grocery store to the right to grab any last minute travel essentials. I believe I may have even met a friend of Carlos's by the name of Lisa down at Aquinnah Cliffs Beach. We were carrying on about where I was staying. I told her where and the great conversation I had with Carlos. She said he might be her son's best friend. She liked me so much she named me an honorary ,"Masshole." and let me park for free. _.... This is our 3rd trip to Martha's Vineyard and first stay at Edgar Hotel. To say we had a Blast would be an understatement. I am grateful to Carlos for facilitating the beginning of what was a Beautiful Experience.

Don’t stay here. The rooms are average at best. The windows need drapes, not just blinds. YOU WILL awaken at 5:30am due to the sun. The location is primo. Everything was okay(for $375 a night) until the last morning when I accidentally locked myself out of my room going to get coffee in the lobby(my room had no coffee maker) There is no staff on site between 10pm and 7 am so we waited until staff arrived 45 minutes LATE. We missed our ferry to Woods Hole. Missed our bus at Woods Hole and had to rebook with another bus lines. Staff member arrived with an attitude and a chip on her shoulder. Don't recommend staying here unless your willing to be REALLY GENEROUS with all of their flaws.

Great value hotel on Marthas Vineyard Great location -close town by a pleasant walk, close to stop and shop or restaurants. Price is reasonable considering you’re on Marthas Vineyard! Room was clean, and a good size. Plenty of parking and near the bus stops if you need that. Will stay again!

Feels homey Really nice and convenient! Plenty space in the room, convenient to ET and Arts Project for my yoga retreat classes. Fast internet and kind people at the front desk - definitely coming back! Fridge in the room for necessities from the Stop and Shop colocated with this hotel. 10 min walk to town!
