Amazing location We had a family room which was fabulous. Location of hotel is amazing. Front desk staff a little impersonal but this is to be expected in these big chains. The fire alarm went off during the stay and the staff handled it very poorly with no clear guidance and we ended up locked in the fire exit stairs on our way back in …so definitely a procedure that needs to be looked at. That said, don’t think you can beat this hotel for location and comfy beds.

Not recommended Well situated in the citycenter ( although very noisy) rooms not well cleaned, they came to make it at 15:30 !! No fridge in the minibar and they gave me for my 3 big children one double bed and a foldable broken bed for my son ( 22 years old . 180 cm! )naturally he couldn’t sleep all night (and when we complained the answer was that he can sleep on the little couch… the fridge in the other room was broken too . The breakfast is not good at all especially the scrambled eggs( powder) , bad smell in the breakfast room, they should work on the cleanliness of the hole hotel

Average stay and experience, definitely not worth the price paid! This was our second stay at the property in the last 15 months. The location is simply fantastic, literally in the middle of royal mile and all great pubs/ restaurants; shopping, tourist places. The location can’t get any better. The property is also fairly good and huge. However; the service standards have gone drastically. With prices per night of £400/- per night for a standard room, if time and again you are told there is limited staff, what would you think? The hotel has taken out refrigerators from standard room and mentioned that standard rooms don’t get it, like it’s a joke for a room that is sold at £400/- per night. Although, they provided but only one extremely small refrigerator for two rooms, that as well after a fair bit of challenging their rationale. This is definitely not expected from a 4-5* rated property. Further, we carried our food due to dietary restrictions. We needed their help to have our food heated once during a day. On the third day of our stay, the spineless kitchen supervisor sent a message through a trainee staff to carry our food to the reception area if we wanted it to be heated, instead of them sending them cutlery and staff to help us heat the food. They advised us that the entire property with atleast 300 rooms has only one microwave oven, which didn’t make sense to us. Like is this really a 4/5* standard category? This is definitely not appreciated, clearly demonstrates the lack of respect towards the guest and their comfort and adequate amenities. The simple solution is to have a microwave oven on each floor where guests can help themselves, don’t need a man power for it and yet solved the problem with a mere investment of £400-500. Is this really such a big problem for the management to solve? I am afraid that the hotel and the management has forgotten that service is one of the biggest considerations that enables them to get rated as a 4*/5* property. Surely; they need to introspect their staff levels and standards before they ask for such high prices per night. Massively disappointed with the overall experience. I hope that the management takes the constructive feedback extremely seriously and ensures none of the guests are treated the way we were. Thanks to some of the team members like Mr Roy, Miss Kayleigh who were kind and understanding. Mr Gergo from kitchen was extremely thoughtful, although he served us only on day 1 and was off duty thereafter. I would love to come again however not before the property had really reassessed their service attitude and standards, as well as revisited their basic amenities in every room to justify their prices.

In the middle of it all. Stayed here during a recent trip to Edinburgh. Very nice hotel right in the in the middle of the Royal Mile. The front desk staff and concierge were very professional and extremely helpful for assisting us with getting our bags delivered from Edinburgh Airport. Would love to stay at this hotel the next time I’m in Edinburgh.
