Excellent hotel in a fantastic location You can't beat the location of this hotel, right in the heart of downtown Edmonton. We appreciated being on the 20th floor as the typical street noise did not reach us. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We wish we could have stayed another few nights as it was so relaxing.

Business trip for Federal Government department Inadequate facilities. This is not a 4 star hotel. The front desk staff were fine but the hotel itself should not be called a 4 star. It's a 2.5 at best. I'm assuming the hot tub and restaurant were still closed due to covid-19 restrictions but the staff mentioned nothing about these being closed when I booked. The room itself had a nice mattress but the decor is not modern and the shower was last changed in 1994. Really old bathtub, should be gutted. Toiletries were ok, but cheap and harsh on my skin. I walked around the area of the hotel, gross. There is a disgusting strip club building DIRECTLY across from the hotel. The building beside the strip club is also disgusting. The area feels dilapidated. Overall I'd rate this hotel a 2.5 star experience. Won't be returning. The Sandman Signature and Westin are way nicer properties.

Homeless man attacked me, unsafe hotel in bad location of city My family and I recently stayed at the Coast Edmonton hotel. We were hoping for a relaxing weekend, but unfortunately it was quite the opposite. On arrival to the hotel we used the parkade parking that is just to the right of the main front doors. The door opens slowly if you pull right up in front of it. The parking area is old and does not feel safe, need more cameras and better lighting. As we went inside there was a big line up of people, 4 in one row, 5 in another. We had to wait 30 minutes until finally getting a fairly pleasant young woman. We asked for a room on a high floor but were given a lower floor with a bad view. The bathroom shower was horribly old, but had ok pressure. The overall cleanliness of the room was average. Some dust on the lamps, and grime on the floor boards, windows couldn't see out of really because of dust and dirt on them, should hire a cleaner to clean them from the outside. The hot tub wasn't working, I'm not sure why, covid restrictions are gone. The fitness room needs a full overhaul, the equipment is old. The pool was nice but could also use a full overhaul, very gross color paint, feels very 80's. Unfortunately due to a really bad attack by a homeless man just outside the doors to the hotel my stay ended with a trip to the hospital. There is a park beside this hotel where people use meth constantly. The man that attacked me had no idea what he had did because he was so high he didn't even know where he was. Luckily I was only injured slightly but it could have been much worse. The hotel staff didn't care and dismissed the incident as normal for the area. Because of this incident I can't return to this hotel or area. Very dangerous. Do not recommend, especially for families, don't put your children in danger!

Worse than a motel! Filthy king suite and incompetent staff I've been going to this hotel for years, as a Coast rewards member I'm appalled by my most recent stay. I booked a king suite, it was worse than the most basic king room. Upon entering the room I opened the curtains only to find FILTHY windows I could barely see through. The view was horrible, east facing and on the fourth floor, a view of a roof and a brick wall. I then went to put water in the fridge only to find an old moldy macdonald's burger! Revolting. Then I went into the TINY bathroom, the toilet wasn't fit for a dilapidated motel, absolutely disgusting dirty. One of the bedside table lamps wasn't working. There was a stain on the bed sheets. Where does it end? Worst hotel room I've ever encountered. I called the front desk to discuss options as the room was inexcusably unacceptable. The front desk was useless. Told me the hotel was "completely full". They would not move me nor offered any other gesture to resolve the situation. At this point I am more than disgusted and do not want to sleep on the dirty bed sheets. A short while later I get a knock on my door. It's a cleaner to check on the room. She asked why they didn't move my room. I said because the front desk won't help at all, claiming full capacity. The cleaner insisted to change the bed sheets which she did an hour later. Nothing further from the front desk. After numerous claims from the front desk that the hotel is completely full the upper portion of the parkade that my room window overlooks remains EMPTY. The hotel is definitely NOT full. Coast Edmonton hotel has been my go to downtown Edmonton hotel for years. It's an absolute shame that this horrible situation has occurred. As a Coast rewards member I'm appalled and mortified by the staff's incompetence and lack of compassion for the situation. Coast Edmonton you should be ashamed. Never returning.

Avoid this hotel - much better hotels for business travel. Unfortunately the hot tub is drained and empty. Front desk staff are unaware of this and book you in to use the hot tub without letting you know. Also not noted on the website. They don’t offer robes in the basis. They appear to be using COVID as an excuse to cut their amenities down to bare bones. You are better off booking at a real 4 star hotel. This is at best a 1-2 star motel dressed as a hotel. Manager made minimal efforts to address the situation.
