Amazing staff!!!! Joumana and staff at westin downtown Edmonton are simply wonderful. The chef made the most scrumptious meal and our room was newly renovated and spotless. We love the proximity to many Edmonton sites We will return definitely!!!!!!

Wife’s birthday. We went to Edmonton to finally celebrate my wife’s birthday since Covid destroyed any plans we had last year. I choose Westin since it’s a very nice hotel and knew an old high school classmate that was there that I wanted to support. Made the booking and arrangements and we were set. When we arrived I was informed we we had been upgraded which was a nice touch by the Westin Team. Check in was smooth and quick. Once at our room we were greeted by a nice surprise for the wife. I’m so happy this all went to plan and can’t thank the Westin team for going above and beyond. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Westin Team!!

An average Westin Having stayed at Westin hotels around the world, this Westun is below average, as I've found every other Westin to be a 4/5 or 5/5. This property is very dated (quite simply, it's an old building) and there's so many little details that bring this property down. However, the staff were excellent - very helpful and friendly. The guest room was relatively comfortable, but very dated. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. There was red wine splashes on the walls. Of course the bed lived up to the Westin Heavenly Bed standards and provided for an excellent nights sleep. The bathroom needs a full renovation to bring it into this decade. The fitness centre was available on a signup bases for 1 person at a time - it was well equipped. The hotels location isn't that appealing - there's not much to see or do in the area.

Great location If your here for business with government or for pleasure this place has a great location . River valley path way is just minutes away as is the legislature(free tours). Art gallery close by as well as plenty of restaurants. As I write this the hotel is closing the gym and pool for Covid restrictions . Staff is Friendly and have plenty of time to help due to low occupancy. Modern looking and clean .

Went above and beyond Job 31:32 But no stranger had to lodge on the street, for my door has been open to the traveler-- I cannot express how grateful I am to all the staff at the Westin Downtown Edmonton for ensuring their doors were open when I was in need. While other hotels were closing they stayed open, even at the expense of some staff using their holiday time, and even working shifts without pay to ensure I could be close to my husband while in hospital during this pandemic. Anyone can love you when the sun is shining, in the storm is where you learn who really cares. I encourage anyone, now, and in the future, to show support and stay at the Westin Downtown. They have special rates for those with family in hospital or seeking medical treatment. Special thanks to Joumana Ghandour, General Manager, for the smiles, tears, and warm “virtual” hugs❤️
