Pathetic Budget Inn, Ardmore/Elkmont, AL. On 30 July 2013, at around 2200 hrs, I pulled up to this place because I was in distress and needed help. I was on a motorcycle and had lost my way between leaving Decatur, headed to Huntsville. It was pouring rain and my phone had gone dead while trying to figure out where I was. Anyhow, I walk into this place soaking wet and shivering and an Indian guy comes to the window. I ask him for help, if he could let me charge my phone till it powers back on. His response: "No. I want to go back to sleep. I go back to sleep now." and he walks off. It took everything I had to not go through that window between him and I. Instead, I told him as he walked off that I would let the world know how he treated me. So if you're looking for any type of help or hospitality avoid this place as they are clearly only interested in your money and will turn their back on you the moment they realize you "may" have no intention of staying, regardless of your situation.

Stinky-stinky-stinky PLEASE don't stay at this motel ! We arrived at 11:30 PM, and we were dead tired from a whole day's driving. Or we would have left and found another place to stay. The room had a terrible smell and when we complained to the manager, he came to the room & sprayed perfume all over the carpet. This actually made it worse. But we were stuck. The whole place has fallen apart since the photos were taken. The socket in the bath room was part way exposed because it had a broken switch plate. The AC was noisy and didn't cool the room down or help dissipate the smell. This motel is the worst that I've stayed in & I've traveled through more than 35 states. I was afraid to eat the continental breakfast. This was my first & LAST time to stay at a BUDGET INN.

I've paid more for less... I just needed a place to spend the night to break up a long trip. This motel was in a semi-rural area just a stone's throw from I-65. The room was clean and quiet. Beds were OK. Breakfast consisted od coffee and Little Debbie rolls. Rooms have TV,frig and microwave but no coffee maker. Restaurants are just 2 or 3 miles away. Bottom line: not a bad place to stay for the price.

Honest, Family Run Hotel- Great for the price! This is a family run hotel with very friendly service. The room was what you would expect for this type of hotel, clean and simple, not at all shabby, nice new fridge in room. My sister left her ipod touch in the room and they held it for a week until we were able to go back to get it. I've stayed in a lot nice places that were not nearly as honest when I left something behind.
