Not what I was expecting _ We stayed at the hotel, we ate at the hotel and a little bit of gambling on our way back home. The room was fine, the air conditioner didn't work too well it kept the room slightly cool 71°. The sliding glass window was filthy. Door on cabinet was falling off. Shower was dated and shower head sprayer needs CLR. The food was subpar they have a steakhouse that have a overpriced $76 a dollar steak so we didn't eat there, We 3 sat down in the regular Cafe, it took them over an hour to get served. When they did it was really low quality food and for $70 it was a joke. We have problems with the food taking extremely long , it came out in correctly, French dip...It was cold and lacked flavor . My husband's fish and chips was overcooked . The new girl was doing all the work and there's no good trainer alongside her to help, she just kept apologizing. Checking at the front desk went smooth for the most part but our rooms were clear at the other end of the hotel and it's one hell of a walk from one end of the hotel to the casino/ restaurant. I booked more than 8 months ago. 12:00 a.m. in the morning, called the front desk ask them to please reach my husband he's sitting on the 21 table , they said no they wouldn't do that. Ask them if that is a house rule they said no they just don't do it. Mind you it's 12:00 a.m. in the morning I need to reach my husband his phone is off and you can't do a courtesy call or walk over to the table and handi Him the phone? Won't be back.

Don’t make me go back there…. We booked a room at the Maverick hotel and casino for one night. I have to say we expected Better accommodations for the price we paid. The gal at the checkin desk was very helpful. Unfortunately she told us the pool was closed. The sign said from Winter conditions. People!!! It’s July and seriously, how bad does your winter weather get in Elko NV??? We’re from Wisconsin, we know winter! Then we were told the restaurant was closed. On a Wednesday? Once again!… seriously?! Then our room…. Oh, well. There’s stuff on the lamp shade I’m sure doesn’t belong there. Don’t make me go back there! Ever!

Lack of Privacy and care Probably the worst hotel experience I’ve had in awhile. The annoying but not huge issues: We got a non-smoking room and it smelled really musty. The sinks and tubs didn’t drain properly. The main issue and reason why I’ll never stay here again: At 8:00 in the morning, someone knocked on our door and without waiting for a response just barged into our room. I had just gotten out of the shower and was not dressed. The person did not announce themselves or apologize. I was horrified. I asked the front desk upon checkout what the process was for housekeeping and told them about the situation. The woman did not apologize and simply responded that they have a lot of guests that don’t check out and leave between 3am and 5am so they don’t announce themselves. The checkout time is noon. Why are they barging into rooms at 8am?! The front desk person was completely unapologetic and obviously felt it was my fault for not knowing that housekeeping starts at 7:30. I’m so glad I spent $165 to stay in a musty room and for some stranger to see me completely nude.

False Accusations The bartender claims I was just trying to get free beers. I asked the manager to check my play, he said it was ok. After that priced she was lying, the bartender claims I said something unnappropriat.

Terrible and nothing like Red Lion experience. Overall so disappointing and no amenities you can count on. Sorry to write this but totally disappointed. Was nothing like when Red Lion owned it. Room started out $127 and ended $178. With taxes and other charges . Restaurant was closed and steak restaurant had nothing that was advertised online menu , everything outrageous… $80 for small steak and extra for sides. One bartender for entire casino.. he ran back and forth. Starbucks did not have any condiments for sandwiches and convenience store in lobby closed at around 6pm. Pillows were lumpy and mattress way to firm and no pillow top. Overall so disappointing. Would never return. Could have saved a lot of time and money anywhere else.
