Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elyria by IHG

Nice place, poor service. It’s a nice place to stay, but on arrival they were not helpful in finding the payment made on the trip advisor app. I had to make a call to TripAdvisor to find out why they weren’t able to find the funds that was time consuming. Since the motel is advertising through the app, I would think that it would be their business to get the funds transferred through TripAdvisor. Pretty unprofessional way of handling a business with people paying for their services. On the app on an iPad it also lists as one of the amenities a free breakfast. At breakfast the following morning we were told that we needed a special endorsement for having paid for the breakfast and by the time that I made it clear to TripAdvisor by sending a screenshot of the advertisement listing a free breakfast, the time for breakfast was elapsed. It seems from what I was told that on the computer platform there was a charge for the breakfast. I guess they have been at best a little incompetent in keeping the facts straight with their advertising. I thought two stars was generous and my advice to Holiday Inn is to be responsible and handle your business in a justifiable manner for people paying for your services.

I have a formal complaint about BookOnLine.com LLC See Below Comments! I am extremely upset and am warning others of BookOnline.com LLC and their deceitful practice. I am an IHG rewards club member and was led to believe that I was making a reservation directly through IHG, when I spoke with an individual at Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Elyria, OH. Unfortunately, I spoke with and booked a 2-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elyria an IHG Hotel with someone through BookOnline.com (Oct 13-15, 2024). Itinerary Number: H9365390 Their deceitful ways started with: *Telling me that I was talking with the hotel directly. *I was charged $25.16 for Refund Protection without my consent. I had to argue for that to be refunded. *I was quoted and charged $295.98 for a 2-night stay- 2 Queen Beds (Bed and Breakfast) *Had I booked directly with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elyria an IHG Hotel, my stay would have been $170.70 *I have been talking and emailing BookOnline.com LLC since October 13, 2024 requesting credit of $125.28, the difference ($295.98 - $170.70) *On Oct 14, 2024, I was refunded $59.00 of the $125.28. However, still leaving a credit of $66.28 owed to me. *Since Oct 15, 2024, I have been promised, lied to, and left in the dark. I have sent emails and have talked with BookOnline.Com LLC representatives on Oct 16, Oct 20, Oct 24, Oct 30, Oct 31. *Each conversation, the representative told me that my case was being escalated, someone would email me within a couple of hours, and that I would receive the credit refund of $66.28 within 8-10 business days. I have names of those I spoke with. *It's past 8-10 business days; nobody has emailed me, nor I have received the credit of $66.28 which is owed to me. *BookOnline.Com LLC is deceitful and not honest. They're unreliable and grossly over charges their customers. They make promises that are not kept and should be avoided! *I would like to be credited $66.28. If told I would receive an email and a credit, a reputable company would follow through.

Pleasant Quiet Room The room was large, two queen beds which were very comfortable. Our room was directly across from the elevator and overlooked the parking lot. It was very quiet. The breakfast was simple but good, better than the restaurant breakfast we had the day before in a cute cafe. Staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

Great Stay We had a great one night stay. The hotel was easy to locate and had several restaurants nearby. All of the hotel workers were kind and helpful. The hotel was clean and bright. Breakfast was good and even had bacon. We would stay here again when in the area.

Nice place. Nice place and the breakfast was pretty good. I heard a rumor that this hotel was haunted. I don’t think it was, as I spent a considerable amount of time look for ghosts. I found zero apparitions. Staff is great.
