Crooked! Check your charges! I will never stay at this hotel again! It was a very mediocre hotel with a super outdated, extremely low to the ground and dangerous toilet in the bathroom. But the worst experience was after I checked out and they charged me for parking, and drinks I did not purchase. I told them at check in I did not have a car. I used Uber and Lyft the entire 4 days. It took over 5 different phone calls to get the correct adjustments. I think it's an organized scam they are running! No business could be that incompetent!

Meh It was ok. Nothing great. The first room we were assigned was NOT cleaned from the prior guests. Had to go back down stairs, and get a new room. That room was clean. Rooms seemed old. The floor in the shower looked really old. Again, ok for our one night quick stay.

Okay Basic Hotel We stayed here in transit for a few days in their extended king room. The room is an odd shape with a small enclave “L” shape at the end you can sit in (2 chairs and side table and lamp in front of bird-poop stained windows a few feet away). It’s not worth it to pay more for this room imo. The check-in at this hotel is 4pm. We were tired so paid $70 more to check-in early at noon, and it was a good thing we did since there was a huge line after 4 and only one employee behind the counter and he was on the phone, likely overwhelmed. We spoke with 3 separate staff at the counter during our stay and they seemed brusque and unhappy. One woman didn’t even make eye contact when answering a question, and no one is smiling here. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the room had windows that opened for fresh air - perfect since the place seems tired and the carpet smelled stale and felt dirty. There is adequate paid parking and the location is convenient- across the street from a nice mall and IKEA, and around the corner there’s Trader Joe’s and Target in the other direction. The Sonesta was about half the price vs the 2 Hyatts next door at the time I was there, and so it’s a relatively ok value, but I’ll avoid staying here in the future if I can avoid it, due to the old, not particularly clean feeling rooms.

Mike the General Manager is amazing! A special thank you to the GM, Mike, who went above and beyond the meaning of hospitality! No wonder this hotel is amazing with leaders like Mike! Being in a great location with excellent proximity to Bay Street and lots of restaurants, it's also a super easy access to the Bay Bridge and San Francisco.

SMH This place looks great online. I travel every week to SF Bay Area for work and usually stay at the Holiday Inn, they were booked this week so I went to Sonesta. When you walk into the room you don’t get the feeling or confidence it’s clean. This likely due to the fact that they don’t offer housekeeping daily. You have to put your name on a list and hope they clean your room. I was not lucky enough to have my room cleaned for the 3 days I was there despite following their process. I woke up with no clean towels, no coffee or cups. Trash cans full, dirty towels piled on the floor. The aesthetics of the room gave the feel of a cheap motel with a scene out of the jetsons. I will never stay at another Sonesta hotel again. I was woken up by banging on pipes at about 8:30am after getting to my room at 3:00am following a chaotic work day…I want to be clear, ALL THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND KIND. This review is in no way a reflection of their service. The way the hotel (policy wise) leaves very little to be desired.
