Wonderful family stay Wonderful family stay! Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, exceptional amenities. Expansive gym and large indoor/outdoor pool. Fire pit with s’mores kit was a great end to our night. Great views and beautiful gardens. Golf course and restaurant both wonderful. Hiking trails on site. Truly something for everyone! Close to home but a world away. And THE SPA….award winning for every reason. Tranquillity at it’s best,

Great place to get away. The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly. It’s nice to have a pool that can be used during the winter time as well as summertime. The dining room is a “hidden gem“ as the food is delicious, and the preparations are beyond the usual fair.

Dated and smells bad _ Very dated rooms. TV in room is about 15 years old. Carpet is old and sticky. But the worst thing about the hotel? The stink of weed. Pervades the entire hotel. It may be legal, but so are cigarettes and smoking either in hotels is not OK. We informed the hotel twice about the stench that was coming into our room and were told ‘we visited the floor and couldn’t detect any smell’! It pervades everything, we could barely sleep due to the noxious smell. This isn’t a budget hotel, it isn’t at all cheap. Stay at Del Monte for a better experience and no smell of weed. Even the more budget friendly city hotels like the Hilton garden near UofR or the courtyard in Brighton have managed to resolve the weed smoking challenge. It is obvious they are trying to milk the hotel asset as long as they can until they HAVE to upgrade it. 3 stars for the location and view only. Avoid. Prefer to handle issues with the hotel, but since they did not do anything about the issues I will leave a review instead.

Microwave next to bed is off putting Be prepared that this is not a high end property - in fact it's very dated (1980s). Only stayed one night, but the room has an odor and perhaps it's due to a microwave next to the bed. The pool area is small, and the fitness center is dated. The staff has been friendly and grabbed a burger at the bar which was very good. Not luxury - more on par with a Holiday inn but the price reflects this.

Woodcliff is a must Incredibly comfortable room and beautiful view. Staff is helpful and courteous and a joy to interact with. Food in the lounge is amazing! Wine selection is spot on and the beer on top is local and fresh. Have stayed eight times in the last two years and have our next two trips already planned and booked. The wing trails are an added bonus and the fire pit with a glass of wine can’t be beat.
