Avoid Very mismanaged and dirty hotel. There was blood stains on the wall in the bedroom and everything was dirty. Staff were unprofessional and did not care about their guests. Horrible experience and would not go back

nice and clean stay at hotel we came here because of a trip to Falkirk and boness. breakfast was good and the staff were really nice. the pool was the best part of the whole experience the staff always gave us towels after our swim the sauna and steam room were really nice too. anyway the room was reasonable it was clean but the bath had a couple of scrapes along the bottom so they paint had chipped away and the bed sheet had a rip in it otherwise clean and pretty nice

Random Cancellations: Don't Book! We had a "guaranteed" reservation, as part of a larger trip. This place just unilaterally canceled it, with no advanced warning. Ridiculous. Out of nowhere, I just got a message: "Your booking was canceled." Don't book here. They will screw you.

Avoid My boyfriend booked this place as it was nearby Edinburgh Airport and also on our way home (I was after long flight). Castle looks impressive when you drive in, at hotel we checked in (staff were nice and friendly) and headed to the room. When I walked in to the room it was obvious it needs to be updated, all furnitures old and just looking tired, tv with little screen. I was glad that I had flip flops from my travel with me as I wouldn't walk on that carpet with bare feet/socks. Carpet definitely needs to be replaced, likewise in all hotel (lift in bad state too). The most disturbing was mould in a bathroom, I can't understand how you can offer a room in such a state, we are in XXI century in high developed country...? there should be some inspection for that hotel definitely. Mould on tiles, shower head, around bath was just disgusting. Very patchy wifi - I had to stand/sit in certain places to get it, I didn't have any wifi while I was laying in bed. Also the last thing was there is literally no insulation/soundproof as we could hear even conversation which next room had..not raised voices, just usual conversation. I don't eat greasy breakfast, so there was no really alternative for me. Only some cornflakes and little pastry and little jams. No cheese, ham, lettuce, fresh veg. Disappointing. On good side I had nice dinner and staff apologized when I said about mould in bathroom (doesn't really do anything, room should be renovated in a first place).

Nice overnight stay. We have just stayed overnight at Airth Castle to be part of our friends wedding celebration. We were a bit nervous based on some of the recent reviews but we needn’t have been as we had such a wonderful time from start to finish. The Wedding in the castle itself was magnificent - a great backdrop for such an important day. The reception was held in the main hotel function suite and again it was magnificently decorated. Every single staff member from the start to finish of our visit was fantastic, friendly, welcoming and proficient. Sure the rooms are a wee bit tired but they are entirely functional - clean, spacious and lots of hot water from the excellent shower. Breakfast was really nice and good quality ingredients. Thanks to all the staff for our highly enjoyable overnight stay ( especially the lovely barmaid who went about half a mile to the store cupboard to get him some apple juice _ )
