Hampton Inn Fishkill

It's the Staff It's the staff that make this hotel. Great stay. Room was nice quiet and clean. Breakfast was the usual Hampton fare. Breakfast room was clean and well stocked. I will say the breakfast attendant had zero personality. No worry I heard on my last day that it was her last day there. Other than her the front desk staff was super. Very efficient, personable and freindly. Ms. Catherine is great and also Mr. Carl. Indoor pool is nice, although water is a bit cool. Plenty of free parking. This is also the first Hampton that has dark roast coffee still a number of Hampton's have done away with it. Also they still give the mini bottles of toiletries. Few complaints though. Housekeeping could be better. At this Hampton they only service rooms every other day. Not great when you stay four days. No clock provided in room. My friends had to get wake up calls. They were told the clocks get stolen. No just the hotel being cheap and cutting coners just like in the bathroom the showers only have half door. Why?? this should not be allowed in hotels. I was told hotel will be remodeled soon although I am not sure it needs it. Final tip rooms facing the front do get some road noise from I-84. Not bad but might bother light sleepers. When staying here in the future I would take a room in the back. Also thank you Mrs. Catherine for accomodating early check in. Look foward to returing to the area again soon and will stay at this hotel.

Comfortable and friendly Very comfortable hotel and super friendly staff. Would stay here again! Nice size refrigerator in the room and the room was very clean. The free breakfast had great choices too. Very quiet location and very convenient to I-84. Would recommend

Decent stay if you’re not in the room too much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Public areas seemed clean, however the rooms need MAJOR updates. I see that they’re planning to renovate but the rooms now need new furniture and carpet. There are holes in the furniture- multiple pieces.

Will definitely come back Personally I like this hotel very well. Pros: the staff called for advance check in. By the time we got in the hotel the cards were waiting for us, the best on our trip. The rooms are clean, large and comfy. Didn't get to check the TV channel or if it's a smart TV though. The breakfast is very good. Free coffee / tea all day long at the lobby. I'll come back in the future Cons: can't think of any

How is this still in business. I had reserved two rooms. I saw that they were on the 3rd floor and requested fourth like I always do cause I don’t like hearing thumping on top of my head. The person I spoke to said “ I think I can do that”. She did. I am traveling with my 98 year old father. My livelihood has been traveling and living in hotels for work. I walked into the room we got and found they had bathtubs. I have not seen bathtubs in hotels in years. I asked to change rooms. They don’t have showers. The accessible rooms have tubs with more rails is what I was told. King size beds have showers but nothing was offered. Problem #1. Not resolved. Request for a wake up call. No wake-up call. I use my phone but my father is 98. Problem # 2. Breakfast. -the food was cold or non existent. The person in charge was relaxing. Usually that is the best part of the hotel is having a hot breakfast. Problem # 3. The hotel bathroom was another treat. The toilet water kept squirting up in the air which is not great when you have to sit to do your business. Lastly the hotel looks like it is behind another hotel off Rte 84 but seems to be out of the way. This place is not impressive at all.
