Hesitant to Book- Very Glad We Went I was nervous to visit GWL because of the price and the mixed reviews, so I'll describe our recent experience. We were there earlier this month (April 2025.) It was mid-week and not during a school break. I think that made a big difference. SUMMARY- Staff was A++, room was a B, lots to do and we loved every minute of it. We brought most of our own food for daytime and Doordashed at night. #1 I was SO IMPRESSED with each and every employee we interacted with- from Guest Services to Housekeeping to the Dunkin' staff. Every single one was good at their job and tried to make our stay more enjoyable. Our favorites were the crew from the Magiquest shop- they were dressed as you'd imagine people on a magic quest might be and they wielded wands, weapons, dragon wings and enthusiasm. SUITE: We stayed in a Wolf Pup Den Suite as a family of 5. My youngest are 7 and 13. They got a kick out of the cave-themed bunk area. My daughter(20) slept on the sleeper couch and said it was fine, the mattress was extremely firm. I couldn't have slept on it...but for young people it's ok. My husband and I found the queen bed comfortable. The room was clean, the bedding and towels felt fresh. We thought our fridge wasn't working when we arrived and maintenance promptly came to very nicely show us our user error. Aside from the bunk area, the wolfy decor was kind of lame, lacking...I thought a fun mural or something in the main room would have been nice. But whatever. My kids did not complain. WATER PARK: I could not drag my kids out of the wave pool lol. All 3 of them loved it. The lifeguards seemed well-trained and vigilant. I went on the funnel slide with my kids and holy %&@! It was scary- it felt 2X as tall as the funnel at my local outdoor water park. My kids were fine though. They loved all the slides. The water seemed clean and the areas were well kept. The park was tolerably busy. I don't think I could have handled a school vacation week or weekend though. Some of my kids and I are sensitive to overstimulation in busy spaces. ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES: We stayed 2 nights, so we were there from about 4pm on day 1 to about 3pm on day 3. We got 2 Wolf Passes- I'm happy we got them but glad I ended up not paying for a third one. The waterpark plus all the additional activities of the pass were almost too much for us for a 2 night stay. My 2 younger boys held the passes, but everyone was able to use them for the activities they were interested in. For example, my 13 year old chose not to do the rock wall, so I used his pass to climb with my 7 year old. Then my daughter used his 2nd climb so she could try it. We did have to pay a little extra so some of us could get in on the Mini Golf. We shared the 2 Magiquest wands and it worked well- all of us could participate in the game and we took turns activating the crystals. It's like an adventure video game in real life. You will get your steps in!

Bad experience I took my kids to Great Wolf Water Park this past Saturday, and we had a really bad experience. There was an incident where someone pooped in the water, and they evacuated everyone. What’s worse is that they didn’t change the water the next day, and my kids have been sick at home since Sunday, throwing up and with fever. They go to school, and I’m really disappointed with how this was handled. It’s unacceptable that they didn’t prioritize cleanliness. I hope they improve their health and safety measures because this could have been avoided. I won’t be returning until I see some changes."

Water park decent. Food is horrific. Any fun you might have at this resort is erased by the wretched, disgusting food. And if that is not bad enough, you can’t talk to a human about your food, you need to order through an antiquated Kiosk that is not intuitive and does not allow you to customize the order to meet your needs. Also - a year later after complaining to management, I dared to come back, and there is still no salt available for the terrible food. Lastly, seating stinks. Even if you decide to eat this terrible food, you won’t get a seat or table to enjoy it. What a joke. Especially at these prices. Scam.

Great family vacation We had a great time. My 8 & 11 year old loved the magic quests and unlimited ropes/mini golf/rock climbing/water park. All the workers were fantastic interacting with the children, they were all so friendly and helpful. We ate at the buffet for supper, and although delicious with a ton of options, it was expensive when converting to CAD. The room we stayed in had 2 beds and a pull out. Presently surprised how quiet it was at might. Room could definitely use some updating.

Winter bliss Great Wolf Lodge is an unbeatable combination of fun & health for a great weekend away for families. Lots of exercise, shopping, food & water play for everyone in your family. I strongly recommend dropping into the Wolf Tail 3xday. The old fashion in the lodge after a long day of swimming is divine.
