Good price, renovated rooms Though from the outside it's an older motel, the rooms have been recently renovated and are quite comfortable. Great price for the quality and area. Breakfast was simple but good. I must commend the young lady during breakfast who dealt very professionally with a rude guest. I did not understand what the situation was, but she represented the hotel well, retained her cool and communicated clearly with the guest.

OK at best... An older hotel "roughly remodeled" with serviceable rooms. Service was helpful but understaffed. Our first room did not have workable A/C, but were able to move. Pool was not available and basically "shut down permanently". Breakfast is not really although that good and options are very, very limited.

Not a great first impression, very motel-y, but great staff and nice room. Good location. We booked this hotel for a one-night stay in Flagstaff. We were visiting our daughter, a student at NAU, and going to a concert at the Ft. Tuthill / Pepsi Amphitheater. Our first impression was not great. The marquis was a little messed up and was welcoming construction workers. It backs up to the highway. Almost all of the rooms open to the outside parking lot areas. It's very Motel-looking. The hot tub and pool were covered and closed (out of service). Heidy, the front desk girl was one of the best parts of the whole trip. We arrived before regular check-in time, and she was mopping the floors of the dining area and lobby when we arrived. She was very friendly and helpful. She said she could find us a room right away. Because of our first impression, we asked if we could just see the room before we checked in. The room was a corner room, under the stairs, facing the highway. There was trash outside of the room next to ours (housekeeping was cleaning the room next to ours). The room itself was obviously renovated. It had nice lighting and new floors, but it kind of had a funky smell, which did not put our concerns to rest. I had read reviews that said the highway sound was relentless and made it very hard to sleep. We went back to Heidy to ask if we could get a different room, not facing the highway. She was super accommodating and gave us a different room. It was in an interior room, so it didn't have any windows that faced any nature / view, but it smelled much better and was also renovated. The room itself was great. The bed was fine. The lighting was nice. The location was perfect for visiting both NAU and the Pepsi Amphitheater. There was a coffee maker and mini fridge, a little seating area and desk. In the morning, there is a breakfast area that provided coffee, juice, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, toast and bagels and made to order breakfast burritos and breakfast bagels. For the price, it served its purpose. If you just need a place to sleep for a show or to bring a kid up to NAU, it's perfectly fine. If you want a place to hang out and appreciate the beauty of Flagstaff or nice hotel / resort amenities, it is not the place. Every one of the staff members we interacted with was very friendly and accommodating.

First Time With Green Tree! THIS IS NO LONGER A MOTEL 6! We spent 4 nights here, and were all satisfied. The biggest challenge was that they seemed a little under-staffed, and one person had to handle the front desk and dining area alone. She was clearly worn out from going back and forth to get hot breakfast burritos or bagels for any guest who wanted one. Yes, they limit it to one (I had the burrito 2 days and it's rather small, but adequate). The property's previous owners were clearly not reinvesting much into this. It recently changed to the Green Tree Inn flag, and hopefully will have some significant renovation done. If it's the same owners, I suspect Green Tree will require some changes and improvements. The AC worked, the beds and pillow were comfortable, the place was tidy, and we didn't have much trouble with noise, so we slept well almost every night. We didn't have any wash clothes in our room when we arrived, so my buddy walked down to the housekeeping closet which had been left open and grabbed a couple. I personally did not like the pump everything. It took a LOT of pumping to get enough of the non-lathering soap to get a good cleansing in the shower. It also has an odd smell, a bit like dusty sage brush, and seemed to irritate my skin. The Inn is very conveniently located across from Walmart and close to Target, and give easy access to I-17 and I-40. We would stay here again, but with the hopes that it will have a better "shine" when we come.

Good value in Flagstaff Motel-style inn with remodeled rooms, including upgraded flooring, lighting, and bathroom area. Comfortable beds and plenty of hangers in the closet area. No shower shelf or hooks for hand towels. Friendly staff; average breakfast. Stairs only to second floor rooms.
