Beach views are the reason to stay here Best part is that it’s right on the beach. Looks nice. Every room is oceanfront. Wouldn’t have seen the beach if we stayed in historic area. Cons: 3-5 miles from historic area. Room stank like mold. Should have tile floor instead of carpet to prevent that. No air conditioning. No water pitcher for a free drink in lobby. Little snack bar was very slow service and very expensive.

Don't trust the pictures on the website!!!! Expectations far exceeded reality!! We knew the "hotel" was a bit older but according the their website had recently been renovated, so we went into our stay with an open mind. I had booked the room 5+ weeks prior to our stay so it wasn't a last minute trip. The front desk people were friendly upon check in but after we saw our room and requested a change, their attitudes changed!! Our room was on the lower level and felt like a cave, it smelled musty and was very small. We did not feel comfortable in it, cell reception was almost non-existent and we needed decent cell service as we were expecting several calls. We felt that if we could move up to one of the upper levels we'd have better cell service. When we asked to change rooms, even saying we would pay the difference in room charge, we were given 3 different stories why they couldn't give us another room.....nothing available, the number of nights we were staying (3) did not allow them to us (????) or we could talk to the manager in the morning to see if he could "work some magic" for us. We decided to stay there that night and try to find other accomodations the next morning. Upon returning from a walk that evening we noticed that there were quite a few rooms rooms that appeared unoccupied. The next morning we walked by several rooms that had the blinds open and were not occupied from the previous night, so there were rooms available and for whatever reason we could not be given another room. The bathtub in our room was peeling up large chunks of plastic and black junk came out of the faucet. The onsite market smelled and looked dirty. The only nice thing about the hotel is the proximity to a nice beach.

Someone with money should buy this & fix it. Great view though. This resort used to be nice… but now it’s very run down. The rooms are subpar, the cleanliness was not good( dirty tub with big black hairs ) the grounds were not very well maintained. The kids play area was extremely dirty. No restaurant? Poor.

STAY ELSEWHERE. Based on photos of the property we did not expect the hotel to be so worn. We travel extensively all over the world and have stayed in some bad hotels but this one certainly is in the top five of that group. The first room we were assigned (421) had a strong urine smell as soon as we entered. Daniel at the reception desk is very pleasant and understanding and moved us to room 403. The room like the first one is not well cleaned and very tired. The furniture is older and vents are dirty. The entry hall near the bathroom has a slope of significance in the floor. Frankly the rooms, hallways, public areas are depressing. We could not use the WiFi - when I asked if there was a problem I was told the next morning that it simply “wasn’t working”. Given the poor experience overall, I asked for a discount on the $330 rate (including taxes) and was told they could only offer $15 credit. On a positive note., the views are outstanding / great location and the balconies in the rooms are nice. My advice is to go elsewhere.
