Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Florence I-95 at Hwy 327 by IHG

Sub par overnight stay Based on our experience we will never stay at this or any Holiday Inn Express 1. Room needed to be re- keyed 2x and went up and downstairs, maintenance and housekeeping also unable to open the door. Finally after a long travel day they re-assigned us to a room. 2. There was a fridge, microwave and cabinetry but no dishes or glasses. We’re told we could have 2 cardboard coffee cups and two plastic cups. We’re told it was an overnight stay, then why tell us that the amenities included the fridge and microwave. 3. Air conditioning unit made more noise than a freight train and kept us up all night. 4. The shower floor was as slippery as an ice skating rink. Maybe they used Pledge on it Very dangerous despite the rail. Management was not very concerned about any of these issues. So, know before you go Bring your own dishes and glasses, wear sturdy shoes in the shower and bring earplugs if you want to sleep .

Good Stay My stay was good. The thank you bag was a nice touch. Really made my ihg reward status stand out. I would stay there again on my way back home. Thanks for a nice stay. I really hate that trip advisor makes you type 200 characters. Keep doing what you're doing Holiday Inn Express!

Another Great Stay I usually don’t complete surveys but since my stay was truly amazing I’ll do it this time. From the moment I checked in to checkout all employees were kind and willing to help. Tameeka gave great suggestions for restaurants in the area. And the thank you bags was a plus. Breakfast was over the top Liz and the guy Freddie was also amazing. Those were the best grits I’ve had since I was a little girl. Keep up the great work guys.

Do not stay here Worst check in experience with the most incompetent employee. Room had dirty towels in the closet and the door when we walked in. She rudely helped everyone else that walked in after us. Do not stay here.

Enjoyable stay We've enjoyed our stay! The hotel is conveniently located. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly. And, the entire hotel is neat and clean. We needed a place to stay overnight while traveling and easily made a reservation online. Check-in was a breeze. Meghan at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. Our king room (303) was on the back of the hotel and provided a quiet place to relax and sleep. The room was spacious, well-appointed and smelled very fresh and clean. Our only issue was the squeakiness of the bed. Any little movement was met with high-pitched squeaks. Aside from that, the bed was very comfortable. Within walking distance are some fast food places and Buc-ee's is nearby. We opted to drive back to the main part of Florence for dinner. (We highly recommend Stefano's for a tasty Italian meal.) After dinner, we took a dip in the indoor pool. The pool was very clean and we appreciated that it is heated. In the morning, we enjoyed the free breakfast. The attendant, Alexander, was cheerful and friendly and kept the buffet well stocked. Offerings included oatmeal, yogurt, single-egg omelets, biscuits, gravy, sausage, pancakes, toast and bagels, a variety of juices (the passionfruit orange guava is delicious!), coffee, and more. Checkout was quick and easy. If we're ever back in the area, we'll stay here again.
