What they don’t tell you! This hotel is located on a dry reservation. Can’t bring a bottle of your own wine into the room. The people at the check in desk are not welcoming at all! The restaurant house made chicken noodle soup was the best I’ve ever had. Staff very friendly but a bit slow. The deli the next morning did not even acknowledge me after standing there for 2-3 minutes and yes, looked at me at least twice. I left and got free coffee at the beverage counter in the casino. No table games in the casino, only slots.

Casino only review..... Seems like the hotel has some issues, but the casino was certainly worthwhile. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the facility was clean, neat and inviting. Can't say the machine payback was friendly to me, but that can't be judged on one visit. I was surprised that they had an attached bar, where we could smoke, which is not allowed in the casino proper. There are dividers between slot machines that provide some health protection, and masking is mandatory as of this writing. If you want a comfortable and relaxing distraction, the Shoshone-Bannock Casino certainly provides that.

Worst everything! I don't know who is writing these good reviews. They must have enlisted the whole tribe to counter the real reviews. The minute we walked in they acted put out that we were there. Everyone there acted like they were pissed off that they were there and we just added to their misery. Headed straight to the casino. Nothing there but slots. No Keno, poker, or any other gambling. And the slots had the worst payout of any casino we had ever visited. We looked around to get a drink. Nothing, no one servicing machines, nothing. Finally found a side soda bar. Finally found someone and asked if they served alcohol. She acted put out that we asked said we had to go to the bar across the casino. Made our way there and had to sit at the bar where everyone was smoking. Didn't know that was still legal. Machines in front of us would work unless we placed the maximum bet. We decided to head to the buffet. Got there and the person upfront acted confused when we asked where it is. Another person came up and said it was only on Friday and Saturday. Didn't offer anything else. I asked if we could order off the menu. They said yes and acted like it was an imposition when we said we would. Sat us down and the wait began. After several minutes a waitress came to our table. Didn't bring the menu, water, or anything. Told her we needed menus and water. My wife asked if they had a bar menu. The waitress said yes, but didn't offer to bring it. Without going into great detail, that was the start of a very long evening waiting for everything. Had to flag our waitress down for everything, as she was doing her best to avoid the table altogether. After finally getting our food and drink, we never saw our waitress again for the rest of the night. After waiting a long time for her to appear so we could ask for the check, I left my wife to pay while I went to get the car. I sat in the car waiting for almost 15 minutes before my wife came out and said she never did see the waitress again. She finally flagged down someone and was able to pay. I'm glad we had not planned to spend the night there. Can't imagine what a nightmare that would have been. Save yourself the misery. When you see the exit, keep driving!

Hotel is nice but they will charge you five times Had a great time at the hotel / casino. However upon check out I was told my card was declined. So I gave them a different card. I get home to find they have with held $150, $150, and $139 on the card that "declined" and $139 $139 on the new card. I have now been charged $717 for a Saturday night. So don't stay here!!!

Know when to fold em...don't stay here We have stayed here previously and enjoyed it so we booked again this time around. That was a HUGE mistake! We checked in 30 mins before official check in and tried to get a reservation for the pool. We were informed that they were all booked already and that the next available time was actually AFTER checkout. I advised they should potentially put that on their website and the manager informed me that it's "1st come 1st serve." Which again, we were 30 mins prior to official check-in so odd that we couldn't get a time or even try. I believe that they don't want to let potential customers know in case that is a deciding factor to book there. I feel as if that is a deceitful way to operate the business as I didn't feel as if I got my money's worth, of which I paid twice for...speaking of that, prior to check-in they did a security hold on my card to ensure there was money available prior to arrival. That is normal so no complaints there. However, upon checkin, they billed me for my room and at checkout, they billed me again. Having experience in the credit card industry, it's common practice to authorize the card and then complete the transaction upon checkout. This did not happen however and they double billed me. The manager didn't have much to say aside from "it will be alright." No, it won't actually. We were originally planning on eating dinner last night and breakfast this morning at the on-site restaurant, but decided against it. Last time, I went to the casino when the kids were asleep, this time I knew better. We are actually supposed to be back in town next month, but will NOT be booking here for that trip or any trips thereafter. I will also be mentioning my experience through the gym so the other parents are aware to steer clear of this establishment. Lastly, only one elevator is currently working and the stairs are at the back of the building. We were on the 5th floor so it was a great exercise for me I guess...To wrap it all up, stay here at your own risk, the employees were actually friendly, however the manager has no clue how to talk to paying customers and ensure they leave with a good memory of this place to ensure future business. NO THANKS TO THIS EVER AGAIN!
